I begin to read in silence, and my phone is silent too because I mute it. As the silence engulfs me...I hear a cough coming from behind me, where the other books racks are. High and occupied with books and it is not see-through because there's no space left in between the books. I just heard a cough. Is someone there? Nobody is here right? Because when I came in it was silent and the lights were turned off apart from the one pouring into the window. " Is anyone there?" I voice out. A little startled but I make sure my voice isn't shaky when I ask.

Just finished last update. Chapter 57. This is an excellent book. I am so surprised how much I like it! Well written. Good plot twist. Enough to make you love and hate the right people at the right time. Great character development. Can’t wait to read more.

So far it’s a good book I just hope that the quads at least feel guilty when they realize she never did anything to hurt them They have some serious apologizing to do after everything they put her through and the real culprit needs a serious lesson for messing with their relationship with their mate

Fated Moon Wolves

Fated Moon Wolves

There was nothing left in me. Across the cell, Silas was a slumped shadow against the wall. He was too still. I needed the psycho I’d met on the beach—the one who fascinated me and made me want to punch him. Instead, he seemed trapped in a trance, suppressed by whatever dark smoke he’d inhaled and whatever was in his chains. He just stared at me, his eyes alive inside a body that looked dead. "Don't fight it, little bird," a voice drifted from the gloom—smooth, melodic, and utterly devoid of warmth. It sent a chill down my spine.

Locked in Silence

Locked in Silence

Harvey had once told me my muteness was psychological, and that if I could overcome my trauma, I might be able to speak again. We had worked tirelessly toward that goal. Just when I had started making progress, Stephen locked me in a dark basement.

The Rejected Plump Mate, Now Wanted

The Rejected Plump Mate, Now Wanted

‘Aaron…’ I called inwardly, my breath turning uneven. No response and that alone was enough to make my pulse spike harder. Because Aaron was never silent. He just spoke to me just a few minutes ago. What the heck was happening? “Who is that?” My voice came out rough, strained, almost unrecognizable. No one answered audibly. Not Dad, not the doctor. Not even Liam. And that silent whispers… Author here: At this point, what do you think?

Alpha’s regret : The return of his rejected mate

Alpha’s regret : The return of his rejected mate

He's building a server. Silas threw an image onto the main screen. It was a frequency analysis of the Gray Zone. Usually, static looks like random noise a messy scribble of lines. This static was patterned. It looked like a barcode. Repeating. Infinite. "The Silence isn't empty," Silas whispered. "It's full of data. Petabytes of it. Streaming directly into the minds of the people trapped in the Dead Zone." "What kind of data?" I asked. "Noise," Silas said. "Short, looping bursts of sensory input. Colors. Sounds. Dopamine

Marked From Birth

Marked From Birth

She looked at Elara and saw only a stranger with a sword. “The mind is a noisy place,” a voice whispered—not in her ears, but in the marrow of her bones. “I am the peace you never asked for. I am the end of the song.” Audrey clutched her head. The "Silence" was a psychic predator. It was eating the connections between thoughts. It was eating the bond. She looked at the silver statue of her husband. If she couldn't reach him, if she couldn't find the "vibration" of his soul, he would remain a monument in a dead land forever.

His Holiday Prohibition

His Holiday Prohibition

He never answers. Ring. 'Hang up'.....Hang up before—Click. The line connected. I froze, my heart stopped. There was silence on the other end. But not empty silence. I could hear something. It was faint. Breathing? Background noise? "Silas?" I whispered. He said Nothing, but he didn't hang up. 'Oh god. He's listening.' I should stop, I should hang up, this was sick, this was wrong. But I didn't stop. My hand moved again. Faster. I squeezed the choker with my other hand until it dug into my skin.

Second in Silence

Second in Silence

"With cameras on every corner, Charles won't be able to hide for long. He's bound to be caught any minute now." Olivia had barely hung up when a loud knock rattled my door. I did not bother opening it. Instead, I peered through the digital peephole and saw the unmistakable silhouette. "Charles, I can see you out there. Don't mess up again. Turn yourself in, and maybe you can get a second chance," I called out. The knocking grew fiercer as Charles heard me. He was cursing up a storm, but I tuned him out, still pushing for him to give up.

The Silent Goodbye

The Silent Goodbye

No one knew when it could reopen. Benjamin approached, wanting to offer some words of comfort, but nothing came. He, who could speak circles around anyone in business, now stood helpless and mute in front of her. Before he could speak, Nissa lifted her phone. Her eyes were dull, expression gray. On the screen was a single sentence. "Did you do this?" Benjamin froze. She suspected him? He could not believe it. A wave of cold ran through his chest, his heart gripped by grief, anger, and emptiness.

The Coochie Diaries

but the reality was a plush, silent room and a voice, a stranger's voice, that had just greeted me from the shadows. "Comfortable?" it asked. It was a man's voice, deep, smooth, and utterly calm. It held no identifiable accent, just a polished, resonant tone that seemed to vibrate in my lower belly. "Yes," I breathed out, my own voice sounding small and shaky in the vast quiet. "Good. My name is Silas. For tonight, I am your guide. Your only guide. You will see nothing. You will be led only by my voice and by touch. Do you understand?"
