Chapter 4 The Woman in White Elena's POV “Smile, Elena, the press is to your left.” “I am smiling,” I murmured, forcing a smile without looking at Damon. “Not like you’re walking into a funeral.” “Maybe I am actually doing that.” His jaw was already hardened slightly at that, but he didn’t respond. Typical of him. Three days ago, I had made the greatest discovery of my life, that the snow was a lie. Two nights ago, I still lay beside him, my emotions all over the place, while he slept like a man without guilt. Yesterday, he acted so smoothly, like nothing had happened between us.

"Don't talk. Just hold on. The snow's about to stop." However, Janet seemed to see nothing. Confused, she whispered in my ear. "Don't tell him I'm still dumb and a failure. I've been everywhere, but I still can't forget him." Tears and blood streaked Janet's face. "If you get better, I won't tell him how much of a failure you are!" She hugged my neck, her voice barely a whisper. "He made those clay dolls for me—one for him and one for me. We'd never be apart."

'Snow'. My only love, my pampered blue-eyed cat. ​I picked him up. Burying my face in his soft fur, I let out a long sigh. "Mommy had a very big day today, Snow... and she made some serious wrong decisions today," I murmured in a tired voice.

Emmy replied, and William happily agreed. The two of them made a big snowman and decorated it with fallen tree twigs. William also asked Alan’s kitchen for a carrot to use as the snowman’s nose. “Done. Nice work, Emmy!” They high-fived each other.

The snows were already piling up and everywhere was the color white, people were already putting up snowmen in front of their houses but Anna was waiting for Jason to come back because he promised that they will build theirs together which their parents seemed less concerned with, after all, they have been doing that since they were kids. Anna was clearing the snows in their front yard, her father had told her to leave it and that he will handle it once he gets back, but she had been so bored at home with nothing to do and so decided to do it and pass the time, besides if she doesn't do it, it will be hard for her parents to pull into the driveway "my, my, what a feisty tigress" she heard an

He just shook his head before handing out snacks; opening the bag full of snowflakes, which is milk chocolate covered in powdered sugar. His last name indeed states he is a slenderman which means his eight feet without a face; as we leave, the person behind us exclaims. “Why did you serve them? One of them is a human.” “And?”, he answers.

To express this idea in another way, it is stated in their slogan. We put in an order for Maddy's sweater about a week ago, and we just now got word that it's been shipped and is ready to be picked up. It is a blue sweater with a snowman that is frowning and a lit-up tree with a dog that is urinating on the snowman. The dog is urinating on the snowman as the snowman is frowning. Maddy has a tremendous dislike to snowmen for some reason, thus this activity is ideal for her because it allows her to avoid having to interact with snowmen.

I hadn’t even asked their names, so in my head, they were officially Glasses, Choppers, and Loud Mouth. Glasses was the designer, apparently. He’d decided this snowman needed “architectural precision” and kept lecturing me like he’d been trained by NASA. Choppers was running around like a crackhead, occasionally tossing snow in the air for no reason. Loud Mouth… was just Loud Mouth. “Bigger!” Loud Mouth demanded, stomping his foot. “I’m working on it,” I muttered, trying to round out the middle ball. My gloves were soaked and my fingers were going numb.

Hugo seemed to realize he’d gone too far—or maybe he was just being overly confident—so he quickly added, “I mean… you laughed. That means you’re happy. And that’s enough for me.” I looked at him. For a long time. Then walked ahead to the funny, slightly lopsided snow couple we’d built. “Should we give them names?” I offered softly. “Of course. This one,” Hugo pointed to the scarfed snowman, “I’ll call Señor Handsome.” I held back a laugh. “Such humble naming.” “And the other one?” he asked. I thought for a moment. “Snow Princess… who’s considering freezing her fiancé if he keeps bragging.”
