Chelsey POV We arrive at the Sunshine Pack with Rex and Sunshine. "Do you know this pack and your name rhymes?" I ask Sunshine soon after the pilot announced that we are set to land. Sunshine widens his eyes in surprise as if this is where we took his name from. "Really?" He exclaims. "Yes darling, this is the Sunshine Pack and this is its Alpha." Sunshine. As the group is chatting with Mr. Sunshine, a busker approaches. He's carrying a guitar and a small amplifier, and he asks if he can play a song for them. They agree, and the busker begins to strum his guitar. He sings a song about the beauty of life, and his voice is beautiful and soulful. The group is entranced by the music, and they feel like they're under a spell. The song is simple but moving, and it touches their hearts. When the song is over, they clap and cheer for the busker.

I had known from a young age that I wasn't the Blackwood family's biological daughter. So I knew that I wasn't worthy of being compared with Claire Blackwood in any way. I had only gotten her doll dirty while cleaning the room, yet Mom punished me by locking me out in the rain all night. CHAPTER NINETEEN — OPEN HEARTS The second day of their getaway dawned with golden sunlight spilling over the ocean. Yara awoke to the sound of gentle waves and the faint scent of coffee drifting from the porch. Jamal was already up, sitting with two mugs of steaming tea. He looked up as she emerged from the cabin, smiling softly. “Morning,” he said, handing her a mug. “Morning,” she replied, taking it and letting the warmth seep into her hands.
