“There might be more of a response if you contacted them directly. You know how they feel about werewolf society and hierarchies.” Damn it! I threw down the reports that I was looking over. He was right. I hated dealing with the hunters and their society. They were cowards, hiding behind stolen magic of witches they’d hunted down in the past. If it wasn’t for the need for peace, I would have happily moved toward wiping them out. As alpha of the strongest pack in North America, I knew that I could unite our packs and rid our continent of them if I really wanted to. But how many innocent lives would be lost if we went to war with the hunters?

For emphasis, he added small humorous tales about her attempts over the years. It certainly lightened our moods. I was so engrossed in the pleasure of his story telling that I didn’t notice how poorly Luthias was doing until he stopped talking, started breathing laboriously, and quickly lost consciousness. I struggled to revive him, but got no response. Fear of losing him for real consumed me. I couldn’t lose both Geo and Luthias. I just couldn’t let that happen.

Out of about 20 plus packs, Only five are left standing, with mine being the largest. Witches are not real.” “And the master of this house isn't a werewolf,” she said casually. A bitter laugh slipped out of my mouth. “This is all a hallucination. It's not real.” “It is your reality,” she snapped, and the air around me seemed to thicken with her anger. “You were brought here for a reason. Have you found the demon energy?”

From a distance, I noticed a hut and decided it would be the safest option possible. I pulled the maiden further towards the direction and upon stepping into the hut, I closed the doors and slide the windows open, holding up my riffles and ready to shoot. It was rather shocking, when she pulled a riffle on top of the window as well to wait for the hunters. "I got it from the edge of the room." She revealed, obviously reading my expression. The first witch hunter came into sight and right before I could pull the trigger, she already did. I was surprised that she could aim to perfection. For the next few minutes, the rest of the witch hunters would be annihilated by our riffles.

The one the prophecy foretold would end the reign of the Lycan.” The witch cupped my face in her hands, dark eyes searching my own. “Well, I don’t think she knows what she is then. Or someone put a curse on her.”

On it was the proof I'd been hunting for months. With a growl, I changed my arm to wolf form and lunged from cover. My claws cut across the nearest hunter's throat before he could fire again. The second hunter's gun clicked empty. I didn't give him time to reload, knocking him to the forest floor. "Where is she?" I hissed, pinning him down. "I don't know what you're talking about," he choked out. I pressed my claws into his neck. "Amara Kings. The witch-wolf. Where?"

He shifted back to pick her up and carry her the long distance to his den. "What happened?" Ciaran asked quietly after Kaynon had lay Cilyna down on his fur blanket. "She was hell bent on finding her kids. We went to her home for her to get some tools and the hunter was there with another. There was something different about the other one. She found out her husband was a witch and hid his scent. She would have been killed had I not insisted on following her. He did reveal their plans for the children but not their location. It's not going to be easy to find them with witches in the mix. The Hunters have created a high counsel to eradicate us all." Kaynon explained.
