I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. He met my gaze with a knowing look. "We're going to need a witch hunter," he said, his words carrying a weight of finality. A chill ran down my spine at the mention of a witch hunter. They were a rare breed, skilled in tracking down and dealing with rogue witches who posed a threat to the supernatural world. The fact that Daniel was suggesting such a drastic step indicated the seriousness of the situation.

Hence only a single coven responded to the call of the three-faced mother. Outside howls erupted from every direction, sending the coven into a frenzied panic. Hunters called to each other as fires were lit and rifles passed out. When someone opened the hut door to get more snow for the waterpot, a clay pot sat on the stoop. The witch brought it in and set it next to the crone. “What is it?” someone asked. The crone reached forward and examined it. A wolf paw was printed on one side. The crone exclaimed, “The wolf of Brigid! She lifted the lid and withdrew a black feather and an antler. “By the gods, the trigod’s blessing!”

Lilith snorted with anger. She wouldn’t rest until she got even with that evil witch finder. She had come a long way. She was only seventeen when her innocent mother was burned alive. The witch hunter had arrived in the town to hunt the witches down. Most of them were innocent victims and of course the wicked ones had gotten away.

Author's POV Abigail's bright eyes sparkled with a hint of excitement as she began to explain the origins of the twin hunters. "Yes, the hunters originally were neither witches nor vampires," she said, her slender fingers gesturing emphatically. "They were just normal, ordinary human hunters. Weak, slow, and not that fearsome, but they have always hated vampires greatly, so they had a very powerful witch turn them into a weapon, the ultimate weapon to destroy vampires."

His face was twisted by savage jealousy as he saw us so strangely close in the gloom. “I found you, outcast!” Hunter roared, raising his mystical weapon as collapse alarms began to sound throughout the tower. “Let her go, Lawrence! The witch has already activated the reverse pulse on the main altar! If you don’t hand her over to me right now, I’ll bury this fortress under three meters of stone and mystical ash!”

The beta is usually a relative of the alpha. ‘Directly below the beta is what’s called a gamma. They are the best warrior a sleuth has. The gamma stands alone. There is not a gamma sow or a gamma boar. They train the sleuth and protect them. They are who the alpha sends when they need someone hunted down or interrogated. Everyone else is just known by their names and holds no title. They follow the alpha without hesitancy or defiance.’

Sungul grinned proudly, “To know that you’ll soon have a familiar in your grasp.” I’ve seen other witches wandering around campus with theirs. Random floating objects or a slew of different animals saunter around with their witches. Some were as small as a pixie while others stretched high towards the ceiling, towering over the lot of us. There have been moments when I’ve thought what mine could possibly be. “Do you have one?”

The vampire that killed Ethan blurted out but his calm expression was broken into one of fear. “You are the vampire that hunts vampires!” This realization forced him to immediately try and retreat but that was not possible because the only thing that left that position was his body, not his head. The difference in their ability was that vast as he had been decapitated before he even realized that he was without a head. “Vampire hunter? That’s vulgar. Please, call me Liam,” The man said to the head in his hand.

The police had to get involved, there were two police cars out the front of the diner. Ducking under the police tape, Damien stepped into his diner, he was feared by everyone, humans, wolves and vampires alike, he was known as the Blood Alpha and that was not just because Blood is his surname. Her sent hit him sending him into a short sense of euphoria, he had finally found her his mate after, eighteen years of searching he had finally found her.

Kate and Susanna had planned well, there wasn’t much else to do but wait to see if it worked. As Izzy and Kate kept talking, Susanna was making progress toward the spring and the Kreil were tracking Susanna's path from the day before. The six werewolves were each thinking about how the end of the Hunt would look for each of them. There were six different endings being played out in the minds of the werewolves, and none of them had the right ending figured out yet.
