The Wolves Bar Los Angeles Novels & Stories

It will only make you vulnerable, Noir warned, her voice growing distant as Laila grabbed her keys and headed back to the elevator. Laila ignored the protest. She drove aimlessly through the city until she saw the flickering sign of a bar tucked between two warehouses. It was called The Den, a dark, gritty hole in the wall that looked like the last place anyone would look for a Wolfe. The interior was thick with the smell of stale beer, cheap tobacco, and the underlying pheromones of low ranking wolves and humans. Laila walked straight to the bar, her heels clicking against the sticky floor. She felt the eyes of the room on her, a woman in an expensive silk dress was a target here, but she d

He was nowhere to be found. "Isn't there a big black one?" Lucas asked nervously at my side. He was almost ridgid beside me. "He must be in his den," I whispered. As if I had called his name, Alastor sprinted out. His eyes scanned the people watching him until they landed on me. His ears perked up until he zeroed in on Lucas standing close to my side. His muzzle scrunched up and he ripped out a snarl. People cheered in excitement. It must be cool to see a wolf growl like that. I was just upset. Why was he angry?

In the last few years, Cece had found a whole new level of confidence. Flicking a piece of lint off of my suit, I make my way down to the breakfast room. I could already hear Cece and she sounded really excited about something. “You really work in a bar?” “Yeah. I pour drinks, nothing exciting.” “What kind of bar is it?” “Exotic dancing.” “For humans?” “Wolves and Vampires too. Our liquor is stronger than most, allowing the wolves to get drunk. But we also offer food for the Vampires.”

Dean’s POV continued- The cells are usually kept pretty dark. Since the wolves have better night vision it’s not a problem for them, but when we turn the bright spot lights on it sure makes it a lot worse for them too. We keep the observation area dark so the rogue can’t see everyone in the room. I decided not to tell Alec and Zander because, well, I still wanted to have a little fun. We got to the interrogation area and I held up a hand so they knew to hold back a bit, then I gave the signal for the lights. The flinching and barely audibly cursing coming from the wolves? Worth it. It took a second for them to recover and I tried my best to hide my smirk as Alec looked at me.

(( I'll give you a call when we're ready to come back okay Walt, so you can either go back to the pack or have a little fun while you wait, the choice is yours but no drinking okay )) { okay Luna, I'd browse around at the shopping centre's until you're ready } (( okay, see you )) [ It, takes a minute for your eyes to adjust when you walk inside, it's rather dark for privacy ] I nod and walk in behind her, boy she wasn't kidding, thank goddess for werewolf vision! we make our way to the bar < hey there beautiful, you're back and you brought a friend, hi how are you? > (( I'm fine thank you )) the bartender tells me about their signature cocktail which I take and then gives us menus, people? a

Or the things he thought were problems. So, we ran to the closest park. The place where four wolves playing in the shadows wouldn't alarm anyone passing by. Alastair slowed to a crawl once we came closer. Amadeus flew by, followed close by Lysander. Scanning the area, they gave a single yip to let us know it was safe. As if we would get mugged.

Mary Miller-Parks gripped the steering wheel of her 2000 Jetta driving like a bat out of hell she drove all night when she felt the shift happen. Her own wolf crying from her prison inside Mary’s mind. ‘She is free!’ Ayla had howled pacing the walled up spot in Marys mind. ‘I will not let you out.’ Mary growled back at her. ‘I can find her.’ Her wolf snapped back. “I will not do it. I swear I would not and you know that.” Mary said out load her grip on the wheel getting tighter. ‘Mary let me out’ “I WILL NOT LET YOU OUT” she screamed into the night. Mary pushed her down, quieting her. Ayla went quiet curling herself into a ball sleeping inside Mary’s mind. Mary knew as she got closer to that

“Of course, Mother. I will bring your golden child home in one piece with no irreputable woman on his arm.” Five hours later I am standing in parking lot looking at the shithole bar my brother insisted that we come to. It looks like it was built with whatever spare wood they could pick up for free. Several different colors of siding line the sides of the building and iron bars cover the windows that are already broken and covered with plywood. A crudely painted wolf howling at the moon hangs above the door with a neon sign that is flickering ‘The Wolf’s Den,’ except the only letters that are still lit up are the ‘W’ and the ‘D.’

Jesse laughed as we made our way to the bar. Since we aren’t driving I order a Bane’s beer. Think Miller light but strong enough for a shifter. It is brewed by a local pack. And only sold to packs or clubs like this. Ryan gets a Wolfenmyer and Coke. Wolf whiskey. I watch as Freya helps Lexi. A bartender leans over and looks at Lexi and winks. “ I am at your service, pretty lady. What can I do for you?” he said. He is clearly flirting and I want to growl and rip the guy's head off. Ryan stops me as I take a step. “ Watch.” he said. Lexi swept her hair over her shoulder to expose her mating mark, then she let her eyes glow and smirked. “ My mates are at my service any time I want but you could

The bar was thick with smoke, whiskey, and that sharp werewolf musk that made my skin prickle. I was already on my feet, boots planted unevenly on the sticky floor, swaying just enough to know the liquor had won. The room started to spin a little, as lights shone amber and red across dark booths. My head felt heavy, but my chest felt heavier—like something was still clawing at the inside of my ribs. Three big wolves sat in the corner booth, shoulders wide, drinks in hand, laughing low. Their voices came through the music, loud and careless.
