It was as if something was calling to me, beckoning me closer.
I tried to ignore it, to focus on getting out of the chaos, but the pull grew stronger, more insistent, until I couldn’t resist it any longer.
I stopped, turning to look back at the swirling storm behind us, and felt a strange sense of déjà vu wash over me. I had seen this before. I had been here before.
“Sera, what are you doing?” Mia shouted, grabbing my arm. “We have to keep moving!”
