His presence seemed to suck the air from the room, devouring the light and turning it into something else—something dark. For just a second, it reminded me of the Game Master. They both held that darkness within them, but they were two sides of a coin. The Game Master’s darkness reminded me of a dark sky filled with stars, the beautiful darkness that consumed the day. This—thing, its darkness reminded me of a chasm. An endless chasm with nothing but death and agony. ‘We’re not going to fucking die.’ Rayna snarled, ‘Not if I have anything to do with it.’

Then— Darkness.

And then… Darkness.

This darkness is kind of cruel in itself, and would never let anyone belong to it to break free from its shadow! “I barely stop the darkness, but it's not enough,” he continued as the fireflies been weakened, and their light is one of a dim. He couldn't explain how this darkness could be so powerful that it touched even a ghost. The aura of the unknown was so powerful and haunting that Godric took a step back and dropped to his knees. The darkness seemed to weigh on his shoulders, trying to crush him. It wasn't just the young priest who felt like this, the other monks also seemed to have succumbed to this powerful aura. Amon held onto his staff and tried to defy the force, even if it was almost hopeless. "Don't let up!" He kept shouting encouragingly.

Except this time, it was the wrong kind of silence.

But the darkness lingered, waiting to pounce. It lurked in the shadows, a patient predator, its presence a cold whisper in Thane's mind. Theresa's gentle murmurings and the soft rhythm of her heartbeat temporarily held it at bay. Yet Thane knew the darkness would return. Its grip would tighten, threatening to consume him whole.
