The barrel rolled forward, flames licking up its sides, catching on the slick of oil spread across the gravel.
The lot erupted.
Fire streaked across the ground in a jagged line, heat slamming against my face, flames curling high into the night. The SUVs screeched, swerving hard, their tires skidding as the fire raced toward them. One braked too late, the front bumper clipped the flames, the hood sparking, the driver jerking back in panic.
“Now!” Noah barked, grabbing me again.
We sprinted along the edge of the fire, the heat blistering, smoke stinging my eyes. Nova whimpered, squirming against me, but I kept moving, clutching her so tight my arms shook.
