The opening notes of one of my favorite songs filled the cabin, and I hummed softly while sipping my coffee. Thomas didn’t say much, but out of the corner of my eye I noticed the subtle shift in his expression — the barest smirk, like he was amused watching me pretend I was just another normal senior going to school.
