Curtis had no choice but to leave. Lena lit a few candles and placed them at the four corners of Margot's bed, where she was sleeping, and then lit some frankincense and placed it at the end of the bed. Then, she took the copper coins and approached Margot. "Don't be afraid, Margot. Close your eyes and stop thinking about anything." Margot listened and obediently closed her eyes. Lena circled the copper coins around Margot's forehead while chanting a few spells. She then scraped some copper off of it and quickly threw it into a bowl filled with vodka. She lit the alcohol with the lighter and let it burn completely.

My erratic heartbeat took on a frantic rhythm as I unfolded the paper and read the words scrawled on it. ‘Keith, I am sorry for leaving without meeting you, Keith. But you had gone to interrogate Justin, and I didn’t know when you would return. I am going to meet the Grand Magus of Oleander’s Coven. Hopefully, she will agree to heal Kramen using magic. Grand Magus is different from Oleander. She has a deep prejudice against werewolves. So, I don’t know how long it will take me to convince her. However, I promise I will come back as soon as possible.

“I’m so happy for them. To lose their first child and then to get twins on the next go. They are going to have their hands full! One baby is a handful so can you imagine two? Double diapers, double feedings.” “Double crying... Jo, I know you can do it!” I said as we chuckled together. “I think I want Arthur to help Bart take care of her. Valerie can help me with Alexander.” “Nathan is going to work on getting three or four of the higher intermediate Mages to Advanced this week. Mazifik has an interesting system- Instead of employing soldiers, you have Mages. They double as guards and normal sentry. Talk about cost cutting!” Conor exclaimed, as he pulled me over to the bed. “Now where were we

Meanwhile, Ariana and the other mages unleashed waves of magic, their spells lighting up the night and repelling the dark forces. Ariana stood at the center of a circle of mages, her staff glowing with a brilliant light. She chanted incantations, her voice rising above the din of battle. Bolts of energy shot from her staff, striking down the dark creatures and creating protective barriers around the defenders. Her magic was a beacon of hope, giving the villagers the strength to push forward. Emilia and Ryder fought side by side, their years of experience evident in their coordinated attacks. Emilia's spells enhanced their allies' strength and speed, while Ryder's swordsmanship cut through th

The third night was the worst. Margaret didn’t bring just one or two men. She brought three. They entered together, laughing loudly, already drunk, smelling of cheap whiskey and sweat. One was bald and pot-bellied, the same one from the first day. The second was young, thin, with nervous eyes and a sadistic smile. The third was the most dangerous: tall, muscular, with scars on his face and a vacant look, as if he had already done much worse things than what he was about to do.

“They still exist? I thought…” “Mages never disappeared. And now, they created magic spells that bound werewolves’ ability to shift. Which means, if we cannot kill them with our bare hands, we’re doomed.” Joel’s eyes shook. Edgar picked up his knife with his other hand and murmured, “Be attentive. There are stronger that you think.” It was then the mages started to attack. In swift movements, Edgar and Joel avoided the attack. The mages used a special spell that was only naked to the werewolves’ sights.

Hercules butted in as he begun a speech while moving to all their views. “We are about to face a horde of warlocks but look at us. We have four...” He began as the mage then cut in. “Three... three werewolves, Hercules.” The high mage corrected. “Right.” Hercules bluntly agreed. “We have three werewolves here.” “But we also have two...” He led with another heightened level of optimism but it had been given the same cold feedback. “Three... Three mages, Hercules.” Eugenia also butted into the trail of his reveal.

Margareth, Beta Miguel, and Madison took their respective seat in front of the dining table while Alpha Marcus assists Emerald. "By the way son, how are the new shifters?" Margareth asked. "What happened during the pack run?"

This was perfect, with Margot in the hospital, this could be the perfect time to escape. Tonight, I was stationed at the bar side assisting Theo and I was very grateful for that. There wasn't much work to do and Theo had made it comfortable and fun. "Now I'm going to teach you some tricks and maybe one day you can make a Magarita as good as mine!." He yelled over the loud music. "Okay!" I said with a smile. I watched as his hands worked magic. He was so fast that I couldn't even keep up and before I knew it, he was done.
