Sarah’s POV: The radiant light hit my face through the swaying curtains and I groaned in frustration. Stretching my hands and legs, I turned to my right, letting the shining sunlight strike my back. I kept my eyes shut for a while, trying to go into a deep sleep but couldn’t. Finally, I got up on the bed and looked at my window, placing my hand in front of my face to hinder that light, directly dashing against my eyes. I got up from the bed and walked towards the window to look outside. It was a beautiful morning. I loved how the weather was changing to all sunny and warm.

Hopefully, Maleek was gone for good, and I didn’t have to move and get my number changed. It was a sunny and warm day in early May in Chicago, so I got up and opened my floor-to-ceiling window. I loved this window because it allowed me to take everything in around me. The window was without curtains or a screen; it opened outwards and offered the most breathtaking view of the lake. Many nights, I sat right at the base of the window to watch the sunrise. This window and the view it offered gave me peace. When I let the latch free, I took in the ambiance of everything, allowing my day to unfold how it wanted.

Elara'S POV “Good morning, miss.” Maeve brought me a tray for breakfast and quickly retreated as soon as I opened my mouth to ask more questions. I sighed. She wasn’t going to give me any answers. Alone, in silence, I ate while staring out the window. Snow drifted down with a hypnotizing allure as I watched one large, fluffy flake after another pass my window and disappear into the whiteness below. I waited, counting to sixty in my head, giving them time to settle in before I risked looking through the window. When I finally did, carefully easing myself up just enough to see through the glass, what I saw made my blood run cold.

As I’m climaxing, I feel the presence of someone watching me through the bathroom window. The window has no curtain since our bathroom faces the woods behind our house. The window is just high enough to only show my shoulders and head; I put my hand on the window to wipe away the fog caused from the hot steam. I didn’t realize before I started to really look around in the backyard that my wolf Mia started helping me see through the darkness with wolf vision. Who were these people? I looked at the cards that were lying on a table by the window. They must have mistaken me for someone else and sent cards that weren't meant for me. I had no desire to go look at them. I had no desire to even get out of bed. I plopped back on the mattress and turned to face the window. Delicate flurries were floating in the air, with wind whooshing through barren trees. I could feel the wind chill even though I was lying in a warm room.

I took my gaze back to the book and my fingers on a line. “Vanashda Si...” The windows in the room began to flap, and a hush of wind came in. The lights in the room dimmed and blacked out. I was startled and dropped my legs to the ground. What’s going on? I left the couch to the window and forcefully closed it and exhaled. Was it because of what I said that it happened? I turned and saw a glimpse of someone sitting on the couch with the book which I was reading. “Look inside of you, you’re so much more than you can be.”
