I pinched the skin with my forefinger and thumb as I massaged my eyelids, hoping the moment would pass. When I dared to glance at my reflection, it satisfied me to see my natural eye color. “Oh, it must have been a trick of the light.” Ruby chuckled and relaxed back in her seat. She pulled the safety belt over her body, then clipped herself in.
