"So... is it over?" A laugh bubbled up from my chest – slightly hysterical but genuine. "Over? Derek, I think it's just beginning." As if to prove my point, Violet chose that moment to demonstrate one of her new abilities. The stuffed rabbit she'd been clutching suddenly sprouted actual fur, its button eyes blinking to life. "Oh hell no," Tara yelped as the toy rabbit hopped out of Violet's grip and landed on her keyboard. "Emma, your kid just hit peak adorable and terrifying simultaneously."

Selene grabbed both our hands and didn't tell us to close our eyes so when we reappeared outside of Xavier's house I vomited. "Already getting baby sickness," she quipped and I glared at her as she skipped up the stairs to knock on the door. Shadow snorted a laugh. It has become incredibly chaotic now. They were shouting about irrelevant topics instantly. Bunny stood in front of Shadow. His eyes gaze at Shadow’s opened legs. Shadow was sitting on a medium size rock with open legs. “Do you want to sit in between?” She gestured at the gap between her legs. His doe eyes softened, bowing his head curtly. “Sure.” Shadow opened her legs wider. In a happy hum, Bunny sat on the ground, in between Shadow’s legs, and hugged her thighs.

His beard scrapes against the curve of my ear, and I’m seconds from letting out a sound I’ll regret when I catch the tattoo artist staring intently at the far wall like it’s the most interesting thing he’s ever seen. “Stop it,” I whisper, swatting at his shoulder. “That’s ticklish.” His nose brushes my cheek, then he pulls just far enough to meet my eyes. “Do you know one special thing about bunnies?” “If this is going where I think it’s going—” “They have a very high reproductive drive.” “Knox.” “Come on,” he says, pulling me flush against him. “It’s just ten. What’s the big deal about having ten kids?”

I started to make my way to pet it. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. He will attack." Someone said from my side. I turnt to see the Goddess of Exotic Mystical animals. I looked back and took a closer look at the bunny. I realized she wasn't warning me about the leopard but the bunny. It's eyes were red and you could see it's razer sharp teeth as it ate whatever was in it's hand. "Thanks." I said while taking a closer look around. If I wasn't mistaken it looked like everything in this garden was exotic.

Alex held his smile, watching as Xavier took his gaze back down to the bunny, giving it another long stare. He seemed hesitant, Alex stepping closer so that the space between them wasn’t so wide. He still had had his arms outstretched, Xavier finally taking hold of the animal. His hand slowly felt its fur, his head tilting. As microscopic as it was, Alex was able to make out the slight tug at the corner of Xavier's lips, dare he say a smile present in his features?
