Author's Note: Omg, it's been almost a year since I updated this book! I am so sorryyy. I had this book prewritten and rewritten and stored in my docs file. I logged out of this account and deleted the app when I was trying to create some space on my old phone, and I just completely forgot about this book. But I am back! I really hope I get my lovely viewers back. Just a disclaimer that it might get a bit confusing at first, I am uploading the rewritten version and the timeline isn't really the same as the old version so I apologize in advance if you get a bit confused. “The reason why I asked you to bring me that book, wasn’t because I was curious about it, it’s because it is a special book.” “You mean Valentine’s Day?” He asked curiously and I nodded. “What do you mean by special?” “I don’t know how to explain this, but the book has some special powers that allowed the time travel to happen.” I explained and Nathan’s eyes narrowed in confusion. “Apparently, we are characters in this book.” “What? You mean we are inside a book?” He queried and I nodded. “That’s….” He looked at me suspiciously and I understood he probably thought that I was crazy.

“Redemption. Forgiveness. Second chances.” Otto leaned slightly closer, lowering his voice. “Is that what your book is about? Second chances?” “Among other things.” Nora shifted on her stool, angling her body away from him ever so slightly. “But I’d rather not give spoilers.” The distance she placed between them felt like a physical ache. Otto’s fingers tightened around his glass. “You’ve changed,” he said. A small, humourless smile curved her lips. “Everyone changes in five years, Otto. That’s how time works.”

I gestured towards the overturned book on my bed and he hummed. “No longer human?” his perfectly arched brow shut up in question, and I shrugged with a shy smile. “It’s a good read,” I admitted. The book is an all-time favorite of mine and I couldn’t get enough of it. I think this should be my fourth time rereading the book, just to see what I’d missed the first three times, only to fall in love with it once again. “It is.” He agreed instantly. Of course, he did. I’m certain Silas has read it more times than I have. But hey, it’s not a competition. “And dinner?”

Then I crossed the room to the large bookshelf and slid out one of my favorite old tomes—The Moon’s Cycle Through Time—a book I’d once read three times in a single week. I tucked the parchment carefully inside, somewhere between chapter eight and nine, and slid the book back into its place. My hands rested against the wood for a moment. I closed my eyes. Took a breath. Then I unlocked the door and quietly walked back down the hall. Shaun’s room was warmer than it had been earlier. The fire crackled softly in the hearth, and the room held a golden hue from the shifting morning light. I tiptoed closer and leaned down to check on him.

As was the section on "Strategic Alliances: Knowing Who to Trust and Who to Watch." Finally, I glanced at the antique clock on the desk and realized with a start that nearly an hour had passed. I needed to get ready. I closed the book carefully and returned it to its place on the shelf. As I turned to leave, my eyes caught on another book, this one was slim and bound in white leather: "The Luna's Gift: Understanding Your True Power." I pulled it from the shelf, but when I opened it, the pages were blank. Completely blank, as if the book had never been written in or the ink had somehow faded entirely.

"Because... Because a year and a half ago, I was drugged... She… Brooke… She accidentally entered my room and... "I made a mistake, Em. It's all my fault." "Drugged?" I widened my eyes dramatically, as if hearing something unbelievable. "Sir, do you think this is some soap opera? "Even if the first time was an accident, what about the second time?" I counted on my fingers with interest. "It seems like this woman gave birth only a few months ago. If you claim you were drugged a year and a half ago, then you must have ‘happened’ to sleep with her and gotten her pregnant again.”

What are these people saying? Did I...somehow...fall back seven years of my life? Time travel? I turned to the familiar row of books on the small bookshelf. It was mostly science books, and I ran to them, opening the first one I could grab. Nothing. Then only something about the theory of relativity in the second. Then the third had an article. The writer of the article was in the top left corner of the page, and in it, he was talking about how he believes it is fully possible to bend time and pass through, letting yourself in through different horizons, at time either long past, or never experienced.
