Time In A Novels & Stories

I will gladly take up the argument that two weeks during school session and two weeks during holidays are not the same. The way time went(quite an understatement)...spinned (now we're talking) off fast baffled me. I watch the seconds-hand move, reassuring myself that we weren't in "Spy Kids: All the Time in World" situation--you know, sci-fi has a knuckle for coming true sometimes, like that of Teleportation did, It is now a possible way of transportation developed by Elon Musk.

Underground? “Wow, that would make things much easier”, he said as he tried to figure out how the device worked, “I would teach you how to use one when next we meet, it is already getting late”, she checked the time on her phone and it was past midnight; time flies when you are having fun. “So, this device of yours tells the time as well, sweet”, he became very excited for their next encounter, “How does two days from now sound? This exact spot”, he suggested,

I asked him curiously. "It may take 15hours." He replied patiently. I again looked outside and thought it would be 4 am nearly by the time we reach there as per Indian standard time. Nevertheless, as per New York time, it would be approximately 7 or something in the evening. I nodded to myself and then again, looked at Suhas to see that he is always looking at me. I frowned and asked, "What are you looking at?" "Nothing!" he replied, shaking his head and closed his eyes slowly.

On my phone, the time was only past seven. Only eleven hours and about thirty minutes left. True, others would had put on them their armour of bravery and fought whatever demon that stood in their way. Fun fact: I wasn't one of those people. I was a simple coward. Coward Elmer Bernstein. The time on my phone went by pretty fast. It was seven thirty already, and after two hours, it was seven thirty seven. Great!

Time was relative. Einstein once had mentioned that the rate at which time passes depends on the person's frame of reference. It would be slow for some and fast for others. Now as I opened my inbox to check my emails for the day in the comfort of my own room- Joseph's name was at the top reminding me that it was the time for monthly review. Three months had gone by in a blink of an eye.

I try again because the silence is slowly killing me. "Have you ever seen a wrong time?" "Huh?" So he wants to discuss it right here, right now? Instead of waiting till we're both in our right mind? "Have you ever seen 7.67 pm?" I don't really get what's going on here... "5.99 am?" ...okay? "The time is always right, Soph." "Oh." I'm such a moron. So he was actually talking in Math perspective? 7.67 pm? 5.99 am?

"Humans have twenty-four hours as you watch your sun rise and set. This becomes days and weeks and years. Time matters to you for some reason." Murry glanced down at the glass plate again. The number 19:58 blinked at him. Twenty-four hours? Murry nodded slowly. This was military time. It was 7:58 p.m. on Earth. He smiled and hugged the clock to his chest. "Thanks." Kel hummed and then turned and waved his bottom right tentacle. The curtains opened, and Murry was speechless. Space.

He sat in a lotus position on the ground and asked Sophie who was within the Celestial Abode, “Can you help me set up a time formation here, Ms. Sophie?” Sophie’s voice came from the Celestial Abode. “Sure, no problem. I’ve been researching time inscriptions, so setting up a time formation should be a piece of cake.” Mysterious inscriptions appeared outside of the Celestial Abode and surrounded James to form a formation. Sophie spoke again. “I’ve already set up the time formation. As long as you stay in the formation, the passage of time is the same as in the Time Chamber. One month outside is one day inside the time formation.”

He shrugged and we continued to the base of the hill.Our shadows grew long and thin as the sun went lower in the sky. "What time is it?" I asked him. "Five hours past midday." His answer was confident and immediate. I squinted my eyes.Before us,on the distance,was a red haze. "How do you know?" Am I seeing things? "Basic calculations that each Globite masters soon after infancy." He responds smugly.

“So… tonight at 6:37?” He laughed. “Why 6:37? Why not 6:35? Or better yet, 6:30?” “Because I need those seven minutes to get ready. Trust me.” “Alright then,” he smiled. “6:37 it is. I’ll be on time.” (Time skip)
