To Bleed A Crystal Bloom Novels & Stories

Chapter 4: When the Static Calls Home The word Bloom whispered through the crack in the mirror, like a secret signal pulsing beneath her skin. Aria's eyes were fixed on the fractured glass, her breath steady but shallow, every shard reflecting pieces of herself she wasn't sure she recognized anymore. The crack ran jagged, a spiderweb stretching across the surface — fragile, yet somehow alive. Her phone vibrated sharply on the cluttered table beside her, the screen flaring with Jules's name.

The crystal had reached her neck. “I’m here,” I choked out, a smile formed on the side of my lips as I crawled to her side. I didn't have a bowl or a knife, so I crushed the glowing flower in my bare hands. The golden juice mixed with my own blood as it dripped onto her wound. The moment the light touched her skin, the room exploded with sound. It was like a thunderclap right in my ears. The black cracks on her body hissed and screamed, fighting back, pulling at my own life force to stay alive. I pressed my hand over hers, letting my own magic flow into her, acting as a bridge for the flower’s power.

I wanted to experience a love story filled with passion. So I nodded. Dylan's eyes were filled with unshed tears as he gradually slid the ring on for me. It was as if he was making sure I would never leave his side. Mom walked toward me and set the sapphire and diamond tiara on my head. Dad was already crying in joy. While wiping his tears away, he quickly took out his phone and snapped a few pictures for me.

"I am going to fix this. Hold on." Seraphine's voice echoed in my memory. The ritual is simple, but dangerous. You must sing while the flower's essence is poured into the wound. Your voice will act as a bridge, pulling his soul back into place. But you must be careful. The curse will fight back. It will try to pull you in too. I crushed the Silverbloom between my palms. The petals turned to liquid, silver and white, glowing like moonlight on water. I let the liquid drip into Neal's wound.

What was happening? I lifted my tear-filled eyes and looked at Damien with disbelief. I was in love with Damien? At that moment, Damien looked at me, then at the flowers on the ground, and back at me. "Felix, do you like eating flowers?" After asking that, he probably did not believe it himself. He looked at me with probing eyes, waiting for my answer. I pressed my lips together and hesitated before reluctantly explaining, "It's Bloom Syndrome." I planned to get up and leave after saying that, but Damien moved to block me. I frowned at him, my displeasure evident.

I lifted my hand and flicked it for Blayne to resume. Assad jumped on the table and sprang to swiftly land in front of Crawley. With a small smile hanging on his lips, he took the shard from the necromancer’s hand. “How does this work?” He was captivated by the success and held it high in the palm of his hand. “First, a drop of your blood should be added on the top of the shard.” Crawley pulled out a knife. Squiggles caught his hand and clasped claws around his neck from behind.

I shouted, ineptly hitting the glowing shield. "The stone has… more than enough of Nephilim's power," he muttered, curling his fingers around the blade still piercing his chest. "Now it wants me… to bleed…" His irises and the whites of his eyes turned black. He freed the sword from his chest, letting the wide stream of his blood fill the fountain. The crystal's glow intensified with every drop of Drystan's blood.

I bit my wrist, making it bleed. . "What are you doing?", Crystal muttered, looking at me in surprise. . "You need blood. I mean your baby who is devil need blood so without arguing, drink this.", Saying this, I placed my wrist near her mouth. She started making faces as if this was the worst thing in her life. .

But I can feel something shifting inside me as my blood and Irene's mix together. When Merope finally starts to unwrap the cloth, it sticks a little from the blood. Once it’s off, I see it’s soaked through, stained deep red. She doesn’t speak. Just places the fabric into the silver bowl. Then she opens our hands slowly, revealing the crystal still resting in the space between our palms. The crystal is red now, too. She lifts it and sets it gently into the bowl next to the cloth. The clear water turns a cloudy, swirling red.

He drew closer and said in a soft voice, “A few more minutes and it will all be over.” “But, her nose is bleeding…. What if something happens to her?” “I have taken care that nothing will happen to her. So, you don’t need to worry.” The crystals located at the points of the star pattern started glowing with different colours and then there was a blinding flash. My hand flew to my eyes reflexively and I staggered.
