Shattered Bonds
So, while she sleeps, I’m taking my daughter out for some fresh air.
Lucero, never far away any longer, comes up to us. I pull Caralyn off my shoulders and put her on Lucero. We run together through the forest, my daughter’s long hair, the color of Lily’s blowing in the wind behind her as her laughter fills the woods with the sound of happiness. It’s like a siren song for the fae and they all coming flying around us, wanting to be close to their princess.
We get to a cliff and look out over the fae land. I’m teaching Caralyn about the different townships. She points to them, telling me which ones they are.
