Death Contract They say that reincarnation may be true because no one in the world can tell what there is in the afterlife. Nor can anyone prove that fictional things are not true. So I, I believe that in this world we have things we don't know but it's better that we just don't know. "I'll borrow this book," I uttered while reaching the book to the Librarian. The book is entitled Death Contract. When I read its description earlier the book already caught my attention. So I took it.

If they hadn’t, we never would have met in that bar and my life would still be going, boring and all. That meant, for months, they’d tried to kill me. They played us in Tennessee because Nine wanted Six on their side. That was probably the only reason they didn’t kill us then. Two Cleaners could have easily been taken out, but they chose to wait. “I already said I would do anything to survive.” I placed my hands on his chest, moving them slowly up and linking them around the back of his neck. “And the only one I want to kill me is you.” I pulled him down as I stood on the tip of my toes, reaching up to press my lips to his.

It was the conversation I had secretly recorded the last time Trinity had come to the estate. I had made sure to fully charge the phone before I died. I wanted Nathan to hear, loud and clear, the true nature of the woman he had chosen, the woman he had been willing to let me die for. A long silence followed. His fingers trembled as he reached for the letter. He pulled out the paper inside and began reading. I had written down every detail of how I had saved him back then, every part of the story that Trinity could never know. The more Nathan read, the redder his eyes became.

He picked that novel immediately despite the yellowish pages of it. The truth is Helios was the one who placed that novel there. He likes that novel that he also loves to re-read it because of it's tragic ending. The novel was focused by a wealthy woman who fell in love with a man who has a family already. It was written in the novel how they both fought for their love for each other that ends up to their own dead. Yes, they died because the man's wife also fought for her rights and Helios can't really see anything wrong with that.

I put my arms around his neck and lightly kissed him. "Aiden I know one day my friends and family will die. I hate that thought because it breaks my heart but that makes me cherish them that much more. If you were the one to take them to the afterlife I wouldn't be angry or upset because I know their souls would be safe. You don't need to worry about me fearing you though, I love you too much for that. As for the traveling I would always wait for you to come home to me even if you're gone for two or three months I'd miss the shit out of you but I would understand." He pressed me into the couch kissing me as passionately as he could.

"I can't let Audrey become their target. Cate is obedient. If one day she dies in Audrey's place, well, that would be a blessing for her." Audrey smiled, lips pressed into a perfect little curve. I was still frozen in place. Numb. Like my body had been drained of heat, like my oversized mascot costume was suddenly letting the cold seep in. Just one year ago, I had stumbled upon a dying Kevin in the alley behind the restaurant where I worked. I hadn't wanted to get involved—I knew trouble when I saw it—but he had gasped, flipped over, and clutched my ankle with blood-streaked fingers.

Every move was hurting me This man was strong and ruthless. Then I saw death approaching. "You hurt my partner and now you deserve punishment." he approached Jack with his gun, who was standing and barely watching. He had been crushed by a fight. "Please dont." I began to cry inconsolably as hard as I could. With all the strength I had left. "I'll take away what you love most." he laughed and smashed my life to pieces with a thunderbolt. He killed him. He killed my future.

Brandon's voice broke the silence, "When I came to, the drugs should've knocked me out for hours. The moment I opened my eyes, Noelle was right by my side. Man, it gave me quite the jolt. "And how is she still standing? With her heart condition and all those extra shifts she's pulled this month, she should've been a wreck seeing me 'dead'." Aria chuckled mockingly.
