Kael’s expression tightened slightly.
“Trying?”

Aera’s gaze darkened.

The words settled heavily.

It pushed further.
Beyond them.
Outward.
The system expanded—not chaotically, not blindly, but with purpose. It reached through the network, through the city, beyond its edges, as if searching for something it recognized but could not yet find.
