It’s made with luminescent dew from the Whispering Orchards.” “I thought that stuff was illegal,” I muttered. Ferna waved her hand dismissively. “Only if you use more than three drops. If you use four, you start hallucinating your worst fears and your nose bleeds stars.”

The air in the room is too thick and heavy. Sage's wrists and ankles ache, and his breathing gets faster when he feels someone hovering over him, his scent intoxicating, and then the blindfold is removed.
