My breath catches as I take in the sight in front of me. The entire garden has been destroyed and Willow appears to be dead. It’s like someone has stomped around the garden with metal spiked boots then torched the place.The large Willow tree is black and the bark is splitting off. The usual humm of magic is gone and everything is far too still. I sprint to the base of her trunk and fall to my knees, sinking my hands into the ground beneath her branches, searching for any signs of life. Tearing my hands through the dirt I find nothing, sobs wrack my body and I wrap my arms around myself.

Willow's POV After I got my shift off, behold, I saw Hailey . She rocked black ripped jeans and an imprinted denim crop top. I wouldn't believe her if they said she recently gave birth; talk of she put to birth early, and guess what? Twins! I'm so happy for her and Tristan, and recently they got married. I swear Jaxon has his hands full with a boy and a girl; the boy's name is Allister, and the girl's name is Willow.

Why was it so easy for me, so natural? We headed downstairs and grabbed coffee. The kitchen was quiet. He took my hand and led me outside. The air felt crisp as the sun climbed higher, casting long shadows over the estate. “First stop,” he said, guiding me through a stone archway. A secluded garden opened up, hidden behind high hedges. I blinked. This was the partitioned part of the estate. I'd never been in here before. A koi pond sat in the center, the water glinting, and fish darting under lily pads.

—--Sophia's POV—- The gentle breeze caresses my face as I take a solitary walk through the lush woods surrounding the pack's territory. Lost in my thoughts, I find solace in the serenity of nature. Little did I know that this peaceful moment would be shattered by an unexpected turn of events. As I continue down the path, my surroundings suddenly shift, and before I can react, I am surrounded by Sarah and her team of followers. Fear clenches my heart as I realize I have fallen into their trap. Sarah's eyes bore into mine with a mixture of anger and triumph, ready to unleash her wrath upon me.

It just took a front seat to everything else we have going on. I pull up the web browser and start typing in the search bar, looking for anything that can give me clues about what had just happened. I know there are creatures with the ability to raise the dead, but they are usually dark creatures and from what I know of Willow from her background check and from meeting her, she is feisty and temperamental at times but there is nothing dark about her so there has to be another explanation. If it’s out there I will find it.

The manor was white with big floor to ceiling glass windows, it looked celestial under the moonlight. I have been in WillowRidge for my whole life, but I never knew about this manor, no one could see this from the road, it is so well hidden. What a wonder. The assistant opened my door and took me to the side of the manor through a garden of colourful flowerbeds that looked so beautiful even at night. We crossed a beautiful wooden door to a private sitting area, a place so beautiful, elegant flowers, fairy lights, a cabin made of glass walls and ceilings, I am not joking.
