“Hey, it’s so good to see you. I heard about your mom. Your brother called me. I am so sorry” Anna looked at her and turned away. Hailey knew that Anna wasn’t going to let go of what she had done easily. Hailey was a vampire and she hid it from Anna because Anna wasn’t one of them. The Princes of Ravenwood

They always used hushed tones to avoid Hibiki hearing them, and I guess they used Japanese so dad wouldn’t understand them and know what nefarious things they are plotting. “I still can’t believe it.” I shook my head as I focused on my game of Overwatch. “I’m telling you it’s true. She told me herself. Yūri was a Yakuza. A legend in her youth.” Forrest said, taking down an Ana from the opposing team. “Somehow, it doesn’t surprise me. You’ve seen that look in her eyes when she talks about taking out Ryōta. That’s the look of someone who’s taken a life.” Darius shrugged as his character took down an Orisa.

I liked the story the way it is but kinda wished each guy had their own book with their own person, & not one girl for the three of them. I liked the guys personalities & their interactions with Riko. I would totally read books of the guys each finding their own person. Darius & Forrest are my favs!

Sooo refreshing to read a book about polyamory where the first half or more of the relationship(s) is NOT about partners treating each other like trash. Loved how the 4 leads actually respect, love, and support each other. Kudos to the writer for writing such loving relationships!

Hidden Away

Hidden Away

A man with dark oak skin came walking down the stairs in a two-piece black suit and grey undershirt, beady black eyes with a bald head that seemed to shine in the lighting. "This is Silvio Gonzales, your brother had him brought from Tbilisi to overlook his operations here," Tazio whispered into her ear as the man approached. "Brought?" Serafina questioned in confusion. "Transferred," Russo murmured to her left. "How may I be of assistance, Ms. Regnante?" Silvio inquired, bowing to her as Serafina felt as if though she could see her reflection in his bald head. "Is there a private place we could talk, Mr. Gonzales?"

The Return of the War Legate

The Return of the War Legate

Suddenly, Tyron shouted, "Wait, Adrian! That’s not its weak spot! I think its weak point is in its shoulders!" Adrian narrowed his eyes, confused. "What? Isn’t this thing human? How could its weak point be its shoulders?" "I don’t know why, but my instincts tell me there’s something about its shoulder," Tyron replied. Realizing there was more to the creature than he initially thought, Adrian’s expression turned serious. "Fine, I'll trust you. Let's end this!" he roared. With tremendous force, Adrian aimed for the Human Ghoul's shoulder. Sensing the danger, the creature attempted to evade his blow, clearly aware of its vulnerability.

He took his time and finally fixed his attention to the short girl with butterfly hairpins, thinking he would easily devour her. As soon as he was done calculating, he jumped as high, alerting the three humans. But as the ghoul’s increased speed, he immediately took his target and disappeared within a blink leaving Yushiro and Rebecca to freeze in the moment. Shadow Hunter

It was a pathetic and undeniable craven existence but it was how they were winning the war. Dave let out a sigh. "No. He used a HG blade." I nodded. A brilliant man named Henry Gomez spent his life developing a UV spiked, but essentially silver based liquid that could be applied to any metallic object, leaving a coat of active poison that would kill both shade and host upon entering the their shared body. Something in perfectly balanced formula temporarily imprisoned the shade and as long as the wounds you inflicted on the human were mortal, the shade shared the same fate. The HG liquid had become as precious to us as light bulbs. It was hard to come by at the best of times, especially out h

sneered Hoyt with a malicious laugh before putting his cell phone away. “Chief Crawford, there’s no point talking to him anymore. Why don’t I capture him first? Once that’s done, we’ll use the remaining time to discuss how we’ll share the energy from the Herculean Primordial Spirit!” grumbled a Japanese man who was among the eight experts. From what Gerald could see, he was at the very least a Fourth-rank master. Not even waiting for Hoyt to reply, the samurai then leaped forward in an attempt to grab hold of Gerald’s neck!

It's a good book as far as I have read so far. I'm getting discouraged, though. I'm running out of patience and time for these types of stories. "Neverending" stories where some chapters repeat themselves for some reason or other drives me bunkers. Just saying. I prefer shorter stories.
