“Leave us,” he ordered, his voice quivering.
The advisors hesitated for a moment, casting wary glances at Jerry, before scurrying out of the room.
Jerry’s eyes followed them until the door closed.
“Busy day, Jaxon?” he drawled, his voice dripping with disdain.
Jaxon forced a smile, the corners of his mouth twitching, “Routine pack matters, nothing important.”
Jerry remained standing, prowling around the room like a predator. His gaze pinned Jaxon in place.
