ELENA’S POV 2:17 a.m. The dorm room was wrapped in darkness except for the soft blue glow of my laptop screen. My eyes felt like sandpaper and were smarting. My neck ached from being hunched over for so long, but I couldn’t stop. The words were spilling out of me like they’d been locked away for years, finally breaking free in the quiet hours when no one else was watching. I was writing the article I could never publish. Eve’s pov Another week rolled by and things fell into place for me, school, work, homework and hanging out with my friends at lunch everyday.
