A clear red outline is imprinted on his arm and I smile with success. A sudden deep snarl booms from his chest startling me, his mouth open glimmering fangs flashed for a display he roars and the birds flee from branches to the power his sound carries. My eyes wide I watch the strength and power he wields in his growl, one that I do not have. One that could make another submit with ease. A growl that could bring anyone he wished to their knees. "Wow," I whisper. "Now that is a growl, Theia." He says smiling peering down at me showing me the difference between our roars.

The sound of our growls and jaws snapping could be heard. He made a wrong move, I quickly went for his throat, then shook my head. His howls died quickly as his life drained from his body. I growled as the idiot clamped down on my tail. I quickly whipped around then clamped my teeth down on his snout. His muffled cries could be heard instantly as my teeth sunk in. I let go, just to lung forward again. Clamping my jaws down around his throat. Applying pressure until I felt the bones break and heard the sickening crunch.

I tried to excuse myself and walk past him but I was again stopped by the ferocious growl imitating from his muscular chest which was rumbling as he growled automatically which made me frown. "Mate" This time he growled more loudly. An animalistic growl to claim his possession, as if setting his territory to warn people to back off and not to dare to even think about eyeing what belongs to this freaking possessive bastrad mutt with fine butt. It really irked me. This stupid, idiotic, fat ass, ugly looking, smelly mutts.

Their menacing eyes and curved sickle-like claws may have been horrifying but not as much as what came next. The speedsters watched the creatures part their mouths into three jaws, with one extending vertically upwards while two others stretched apart on either side horizontally, displaying a sickening assortment of a dental formula comprising of long gritty teeth that aligned themselves in an imperfect order. The growling sounds that came out of their throats were sharp and coarse like grinding sand on a metal plane then using an amplifier to project the noise created from the action of doing so. "There are thirty of them," came Carol, eyeing the horde of monsters.

“Leave, again?” There was a small rumbling on his throat too, which made me blink in surprise. Was he…was he growling at me? Something flashes in my mind, something that I’ve read in one of my books about Zoology and Biology. There was a whole chapter entirely dedicated to how large predators faked being hurt or scared by their children to encourage them. As much as I wanted to do it to Kofi, since we were technically semi-predators as well, I found myself failing terribly. My mouth twitches, and I find myself clearing my throat just to stop myself from laughing at his attempt to scare me. His growl didn’t sound at all scary, it was pretty adorable.

The pain in my head intensified, a crescendo of agony that filled my mind and threatened to swallow me whole. Gods, I wanted it to end. Death would be a mercy compared to this. Eryndor should come now and kill me. I could feel the bones in my face elongating, the flesh stretching, my jaw widening as my muzzle lengthened. My teeth, sharp as daggers, began to form, a deep growl rumbling in my chest as they sank down into my gums. My throat tightened, burning as my vocal cords stretched, my breath now coming in ragged gasps.

Should I be offering sympathy rather than sending in the executioner? From behind me I heard thundering footsteps and prepared myself for the impending attack. Max was hardly trying to be subtle, but then we were playing, who needed subtle? A silvery-grey streak leapt from the bushes, barrelling into me and knocking me to the ground. I growled, nipping at his flank before wriggling free and dashing away, yipping for him to chase me. And he did.

Finally, the dragging stops, and for a second, nothing happens other than the Growling and snarling happening around. I try to catch my breath, uneven and shallow as it may be. But I’m flipped over, and glass sinks past my fur, lodging into my back. I snarl. Over me, Everest stands, human again. His mouth is pulled in that victorious smirk he had since the start of this fight—a man who knows he can't lose in his own home. “Pathetic,” he growls, eyes darker than midnight hanging overhead. Shadows flicker in his fingers. I’m terrifyingly mesmerized by them. I try to move. To yelp. To shift back, but I can’t.

And all of a sudden you hear four ferocious growls. That's when hell has broken loose.
