Katrina’s POV A woman stood in the middle of the room, tall and graceful, her dark hair pinned up neatly. She looked like she belonged in one of those fashion magazines I used to secretly flip through. She smiled at me warmly and greeted me, her voice smooth and welcoming, “Luna.” Hearing her call me that still sent a strange shiver through me—it felt too big, too heavy, like a title I was still growing into. She introduced herself as Ophelia, the designer. Her presence carried this calm authority, like she knew exactly what she was doing and expected me to trust her.

The others were watching closely as she opened her hand to reveal what had caused the pain.
