Billionaire's Captive

Billionaire's Captive

And in that moment, Trinity knew that, once again, she had failed to intervene, to prevent tragedy from unfolding before her very eyes. Her legs, seemingly disconnected from her body, wavered beneath her like reeds in a gale, as her gaze locked onto the harrowing spectacle that had materialized before her. The world around her slowed to a crawl, each breath drawn by her lungs feeling impossibly heavy, as if she had been plunged into the murky depths of a nightmare. The seconds stretched into eons, the dark whisper of terror echoing in Trinity’s mind, driving home the grim truth of Lisa’s demise with each muted thud of her heartbeat.

Wanted By The Alphas

Wanted By The Alphas

Alpha Ragas eyes stared lifelessly at the sky, and it tore my heart apart. The palace behind me went up in flames, but it still wasn't enough to warm Alpha Ragas' cooling body. “I'm so sorry. I'm sorry! I apologize!” I screamed, and Tristan rushed to me. He placed an arm around my shoulders, and my tears ran hot. My head was pounding, and my heart was squeezing. He closed Ragas' eyes softly, and I cried more, knowing those eyes would never happen. It made me scream again, and Tristan hugged me, and Ragas together. It felt like my life was ending. It was all just too much.

JAGGED

JAGGED

He was quiet, actually the whole room was quiet, you could hear a pin drop. “Pathetic” I said and I didn’t even know why I was sobbing. I steeled myself. “Pathetic little wolf pack” I turned to Arian, “I reject you As my fated Mate Arian Oswald” I felt it almost instantly. “No!” A wave of pain and nausea hit me almost immediately. When it passed, it was still there, I felt it in my very soul, that it was there. But before I could say anything else, I felt dizzy and everything went dark.

Conflicted

Conflicted

His nose is big and a little crooked, but the flaw makes him real; it makes the rest of him believable. I sigh as the first tear falls from my eye. For the first time in a long time, my grief is being overshadowed. Longing is now raging through me, and I don't know which emotion hurts worse. I open my arms wide before tilting my face towards the weeping sky. "Help me, love. Please help me to be strong for what is to come," I cry out for no one to hear but me. GUNNAR POV

I was worried I was not going to like the book and while a lot of the beginning was cringy lol, I pushed through and glad I did! It was a captivating read even with the auctions and shitty people but as the story progressed, I couldn't put the book down! I'd happily read more of the authors stories.
Mona
Soo good! I fell in love with the characters and couldn't put it down! <3 I loved the way the characters had evolved from the first time you meet them to the end. Also, one of the characters, her name is Hilda, reminded me so much of Aveline from Dragon Age 2. *cough*Hilda needs her own book*cough*

Unexpected Fate

Unexpected Fate

said Reina with her dizzy voice. I wiped my tears and drink at the bottle of water. I closed the window. I went inside the bathroom to take a quick shower. As the hot water drips down in my body, tears began to fall again in my eyes. I just can’t stop it. damn it! Why did he do that? I felt betrayed. but it sounds insane, because I still love him, and I trust him. No matter what his reason is, I will trust him.

Revenge

Revenge

The attention he was giving his keyboard made me want to take his laptop and throw it out of the window. "See I was really hurt and the only option that I wanted to willingly take was revenge and when I saw you I took that choice. But you though were a jerk to me, you also cared for me and that put me in a dilemma. The day you came with me for graduation I knew I was falling for you and the thirst for revenge was quenched. Then everything changed really fast. I promise I was completely honest about my feelings but then the day came when the files were returned and he showed me the video, I was confused. I didn't know who to believe and who not to. My decision was rash and I know I had to tru

They never would have been hit by not one but two semi trucks. "Oh God! Oh my God! Kaylee I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry! Oh God, please, please, let this nightmare end! Not Kaylee! Not my best friend!" Cara cried out in desperation. "Why? Why did this happen? We're just kids! She doesn't deserve this! Kaylee, I'm so, so sorry!"

Fatal Signature

Fatal Signature

All the dealings and transaction records between Avelina and the traffickers were also exposed. When Enrico learned that Lucia had been brutally murdered and stripped of her organs, a tidal wave of hatred surged through him. He slammed his hand down so hard that the table shattered. "Avelina Bianchi?" he spat, his eyes turning venomous. "Whoever she is, I'm going to find her and tear her into shreds!" At that moment, Enrico's heart was filled with nothing but a raw, bone-deep hatred. He had lost his only daughter—the person he loved most in this world.

Frequently Asked Questions

Tragedies grip us because they mirror the raw, unfiltered truths of life—loss, suffering, and the fragility of human plans. Take 'Romeo and Juliet' or 'The Song of Achilles'; their endings aren’t just sad for shock value. They force us to confront how love, pride, or fate can unravel despite our best efforts. There’s a strange comfort in that, like sharing a collective sigh with the characters.

What fascinates me is how tragedies linger. Days after finishing 'No Longer Human', I kept circling back to Dazai’s despair—not because I enjoy pain, but because it felt eerily familiar. The sadness isn’t arbitrary; it’s the price of authenticity. When a story refuses to sugarcoat reality, it etches itself into your bones.
