If I didn’t figure out how to survive this place, there wouldn’t be enough of me left to panic. Which is how I found myself stomping across the pack’s stone courtyard toward the library, muttering under my breath like a crazy woman. I had seen it from the corner of my eye as Kieran essentially carried me across pack grounds. The library was massive with high, vaulted ceilings and endless rows of shelves, groaning under the weight of books bound in cracked leather and scrolls sealed in wax, ready to collapse and bury me alive if I dared touch them. Naturally, I nearly toppled one over within five minutes.

It was a place of radical transparency—a panopticon of virtue. "They are building the Great Library first," the Traveler continued, his eyes bright with a terrifying kind of hope. "They say that every secret kept in the West will be indexed there. Every lie told in this house will be a footnote in their history books. They aren't just building a city, Aris. They are building a judgment." Establishing the "Message" Aris looked down at the pile of dust the Traveler had dropped. In the fading light, he realized the silt wasn't uniform. There were flecks of gold, of mica, of ground-down bone.

My mother guided me through the aisles, her fingers lightly tracing the spines of the books as she shared her favorite stories with me. Each book held a different world within its pages, and as my mother opened them, the scenes came to life before our very eyes. Fortunately, Daria had the day off, so we didn't have to rush. The library was a little way from the cabin, and a guard offered to give us a ride, but we decided to walk instead. After twenty minutes of walking, Daria said, "We’re here," I glanced up and my jaw dropped right away. “Oh wow…” I knew the facilities here were great, but I never anticipated they would have such an incredible library. The building is new, completely different from what I had imagined; an old structure beginning to fall apart. It has three floors and is still pretty busy with visitors at these hours.

I had only one desire when I was an adult, to visit the world but especially the libraries of the countries. I considered that a library was a building that could tell the story of a person, a building or a country from the beginning to the end. Wasn't that impressive. I should write a diary about my travels in other countries!

I couldn't leave this behind. Okay, what else? I never travel before. This will be my first time. Then I remember a book that I borrow from the Library. It's about travelling to human's teritory that I already read for these past few months. I pack it back along with my other things and now I'm ready.

His leg brushed mine the entire time. I picked mine and Lycer's first stop as one I knew he would like. The pack library. It was more than twice the size of the one in the pack house. I didn't often spend time here but I occasionally had to pick up a book for my lessons. Right now, my goal is to read through all the books in the pack house and then move on to tackling the library. Though, some of the academic books confuse me. . . I'll save those for last.

Japheth snorted, a corner of his lips tipping up. “No, dumbass.” I groaned, running a hand through the strands of my hair. “I mean the ones about otherworldly beings. Gods, gryms and I don't know what else might be in there.” The books in the library were considered sacred. Although, Shadowfen wasn't as large as Valeras, it was hard to find one's way around here. With different and multiple routes and passageways, the possiblity of finding your way around was impossible without the guide of someone accustomed to the structures.

From a modern person's perspective, it was a kind of cool design. Together with Natalie, Audelia visited Library as the first destination in her tiny adventure. Why Library? because that place was the source of information. Audelia spent 'quite' a lot of time inside the library on her first day's adventure to the point Natalie had to inform the rest of Audelia's family only to drag her out of the Library.
