The Long-lasting Tree

The Long-lasting Tree

Lamittan Minsahwarrior blue
The Blue-eyed said their tree was the son of God and had its powers from God while the conservatives held that their tree was the dwelling place of Nyasaye, thus a shrine for worship. In both sects, the purpose of the tree was to protect goodness from being superseded by evil. And even though the clan's shrine had been chopped down, everyone could see that its powers still worked among the very people who had cut it down. The new old narrative about a witch who was believed to have stolen the tree's powers was now slowly spreading across the clan. The converts dismissed the narrative and the tree's powers. They called the tree evil and attributed the plague that had smitten the land to its p

This book is highly educative. For someone like me who studies cross-cultural communication, I find it quite important. I'm learning a lot concerning the culture of the Luo tribe of Kenya and how they responded to the western culture, religious conflict and quite a lot to do with relationship. ?

A book to pick from the shelf. Felt i was reliving times here, those wonderful moments in the history of a people. The Blue-eyed's intention with the bell and the tree's inexplicable powers are itchy... felt like I just wanted to know it all. This is a five-star novel, can't hesitate to say. ???

The Huntress - Luna Eileen

The Huntress - Luna Eileen

“I have to be back by dusk, but I think we can at least make a loop of the trap lines if you want.” It was boring work for some, simply checking the close in trap lines for small game like hare and squirrel but we tried to check them often before other preditors got to them. As the team took off down the well-worn trail, I noticed green light emanating from a tree. I held up a hand and Makya brought the sled to a stop. I hopped off and wandered over to the tree. Carved into the bark was a glyph of the triskele triple spiral overlaid with a triquetra.

Normally not a witch/werewolf fan but this novel held my interest. The history research done by the author makes the characters more real. I’m really enjoying the suspense, surprise, humor and the love scenes are pretty hot and descriptive. Keep up the good work!

Very nice writing style. The author is able to portray scenes in a vivid way and bring them to life. I would suggest to keep the flow going throughout the chapter. If not possible then put the time skip in the next chapter.

Sire Bond: The Vampire's Obsession

Sire Bond: The Vampire's Obsession

“All the trees in the forest always look the same.” “Not all of them.” Lucas stopped suddenly. Lilith nearly bumped into him from behind. “What is it, Lucas?” Lucas pointed ahead, straight at a massive tree that was far older than the others. Its trunk was nearly three times as thick. And most importantly, there were carvings on it. Lilith’s heart immediately began to race. The three of them began walking toward the tree. And sure enough, the same symbol was clearly carved into the tree’s bark: a circle with three curved lines, exactly like the one in the photo.

Supernatural Academy Series

"All right. Go find your tree. You've got forty minutes, so take your time. Be sure and check your textbook if you are unsure which tree you'd like. Or you can walk around, touch a tree, and see if it speaks to you. Many of these trees were planted while the Academy was being built by the founders. So we have everything from Oak and Ash to Apple or Rowan trees." I like the idea of picking a tree that calls to me so instead of opening my textbook, I stroll through the area, randomly placing my hand on the barks of trees. Some send small tingles through my palm, even with my gloves on, but none feel right. Kiarr and Ben hover nearby, but not so close that it feels like they are breathing down

The Fate of the Alpha's Orphaned Daughter

The Fate of the Alpha's Orphaned Daughter

Luna Mara replied, "the territories truly begin to heal. The Tree will send roots to connect with all four cardinal gardens. Within days, smaller saplings will appear at key points throughout the territories, creating a network of harmony." As if confirming her words, we could see faint lines of golden light spreading outward from the Tree, following the ancient ley lines that connected the sacred spaces of our world. "There's something else," Matthias said, his hand still resting against the Tree's trunk. "The Tree wants to show us something specific." The bark rippled again, but instead of historical visions, it displayed a map, detailed and three-dimensional, showing not just the physical

Ice Cold - Part One: The Dark Zone

The bark was wet from the constant spray of the streams. “Most of us call it the Twisted Oak,” Rowan responded to him. “Its growth pattern was altered by the waters that sprung from the mountains into the Oasis. But look more closely.” Rowan guided Alex’s attention with her hand to the space between the trees. As he looked around he noticed that there was something carved into all four trees. On two of the twisting oak trees positioned opposite from each other, a series of small circles were carved into the bark. Each tree had six circles cut away in a hexagonal formation. On the other two adjacent trees were six more circles carved in the same manner, except these shapes appeared to be pain

Shadows of Heart : The Awakening

But as she moved closer, her stomach churned. One of the trees was sick. Its bark was blackened and cracked, seeping a tar-like substance that dripped onto the glittering ground. Its leaves were brittle, some falling in slow, sorrowful spirals. Dark veins twisted around its roots, choking it as they spread outward, threatening to poison the other two trees. The second tree pulsed with life but seemed strained, its light flickering as if struggling to keep the corruption at bay. The third tree stood strong, radiating a golden warmth that gave Zoe a fleeting sense of comfort.

My Lord Alpha

My Lord Alpha

Sabine frowned "My ancestor would not record this and pass it down through generations if it was not true. However, we can only test the accuracy of it when we have the Tree of life." "I'll do it," Wayne announced, switching to a serious tone "Show me a visual picture of what the tree looks like so I would know what I am searching for," he told Sabine. She nodded and unfolded her arms. Opening the book once again, she flipped to a page just after the narration. A large image of a tree was conspicuously drawn. It was an open crown of wispy, ground-sweeping branches with long, slender leaves. The twigs were yellow, and green foliage fanned down, giving an indication of spring.

How does this book have such low views? This is a masterpiece! This might be my first time reading a werewolf story so zealously without missing any details. Such a breath of fresh air and unique storyline from the other books in this app. The alternate universe, the timeline, everything is so good.

When I saw the title "The Lord Alpha" , I was like 'what the hell is this book about?' It never disappointed though. Wayne and Candice so much reveals how twisted our fates could be at times and I kept imagining how it'd be if I suddenly uncover my spouse was a mermaid or something weirder even...

Immortal’s Kiss Book 4 English Version

Immortal’s Kiss Book 4 English Version

It transitioned to the animals and humans that they co-exist. After that, the drawings became different again. There is this huge tree on a detailed carving. The shape of its veins became familiar to me similar to Venenata Negra. So I realized that that was the tree. I saw drawings of fairies. I frowned because when I saw that the fairies tried to cut down the big tree I don't know what the reason was. But the fairies did not succeed in cutting Venenata Negra.
