I muttered, scared that if the monsters spread how I had come to Raven's room, it'd get to the hearing of both Lucian and Thorne. "Is that what you want?" he asked softly, cupping my face in his cold, steady hands. My eyes reached for his, and I nodded my head. "Alright. I will be right back. Once I talk to them, they won't say a word." With that, he went out of his room. With just one word from him, every monster on the fifth floor came out from their various rooms. Somewhere were vampires, ghouls, and somewhere dragons. I stood by the door, listening to the conversation he was having with them.

Thorny vines shot out of the woods and wrapped themselves around one of the monsters, trapping it but it wouldn't hold for long. The other two ran towards me with a speed I hadn't expected from monsters their size. Blasting them with my water magic didn't deter them, instead, it angered them further. They had almost gotten to me when the mist popped out six huge monsters, five of which immediately went into action. The winged monster didn't, instead, it trotted to me and nuzzled my cheek, making me smile. The Egran, which I had decided to name my monsters, fought with Karissa's scorpion-wolves with such speed that stunned the scorpion-wolves themselves at first.

Beneath the carved warning, four crude tally marks stood out. After a moment's thought, I took the utility knife and carved another stroke into my skin. Searching my pockets, I found a folded scrap of paper… and a few more hidden in the corners of my room. [The monster is tampering with my memory. Trust no one. I was terrified of them, but God, I was already craving the way they took me. I was a couple of days away from being their captive, and I was already drowning in the need for their touch.

A terrifying creature with glowing red eyes rushed into the mating procession blindly. “Damn monster!” Troy yelled and ran to try to stab the monster with a long silver stick used to hold the tent. The monster was strong enough and slammed Troy to the ground in a matter of seconds. I was stunned. “Hannah, get out of here!” I shouted and pushed Hannah towards Mom to leave. Jake realized the commotion had become big, so he approached me. The monster ruined my mating procession with Alpha Matthew. I glared at the monster in disgust. “Troy! Damn it! How dare you hurt Troy!” Jake cursed the monster.

"I know you must be wondering how your tattoo disappeared all of a sudden. I remember I told you it's not just a tattoo, it's a magical one. It can hear, see and talk when angry. And I also remember I told you I won't let any harm come to you but it's like you never trusted me. I saw how your mom was heartbroken after seeing your tattoo and then guessed she might tell your dad about it and bring trouble to you. You are my best friend, protecting you is my pleasure. More like three voices in one. Hera chuckles behind us. "There he is. The monster hidden under his fake civility." I can't breathe. I've never seen him look so terrifying. Hera sashays to her red car, and I panic. "Wait, what are you doing?! Take him with you!" I say, my voice shaky. "You should tame your monster first. He looks like he's about to riot," she responds, and I glance at Tyler's unmoving form. A small pool of blood is forming under him.

She must have gone to see Tricia after he left, and he had sensed she would as she had looked at him suspiciously. "Y-y-you are a monster, and you killed my best friend!" Lauren sobbed. She stepped forward again, the club still in her trembling hands. "I wouldn't do that if I were you, sweetheart." Trevor tutted as she hoisted the club in her hand. He swooshed to her side and tossed the club away, then pulled her into a tight embrace. "Monster!" Lauren shrieked, but the sound was muffled by Trevor's hand. "You'll do as I say." He mumbled, staring into her eyes.
