My teeth relish the feeling of ripping into her flesh, and the taste of her blood fills my mouth. Yes. I needed this. Blood is the only thing that quiets it. Hide tears. Hot. Blood in my mouth. Meat. My mind whirls, torn between the need to know and the fear of what I might find. I take a deep breath and slowly lift the lid. Inside, nestled on black velvet, are two sharp, canine teeth. I reach over, brushing my finger along his sharp teeth, my breath catching when my skin is pierced. “These are sharp,” I observe. “Fuck, sorry,” he says, it’s harder for him to talk with his teeth like this.

Shada realized that the world she was living in was vast. "Instead of human blood, I drink animal blood." Demian explained with a grin that showed his rows of neat white teeth. However, his face was still handsome, even too handsome. At first glance, Shada was surprised that the man's teeth did not show long, sharp canines like some of the movies she had watched. "Then... where are your canines?" Shada pointed at her own teeth then pointed at Demian's mouth. "Oh, hahaha... my fangs only appear when I bite." Demian couldn't help but laugh.

Releasing me, he stumbles back, his face twisted in pain. For a moment, in my pain-filled haze, I think he’s acting like this because I just stabbed him with my hand. But then I see something else. Something like orange cracks are appearing all over his body. They're even visible from under his dark clothes.
