Before I could even think too hard about it, I stepped forward and wrapped my arms tightly around her. Tia froze slightly from surprise before hugging me back immediately. And Goddess… That simple hug almost made me cry from exhaustion alone. “This is tiring, Tia,” I admitted quietly against her shoulder. “Can’t I just have a simple life without all this?” The words sounded pathetic leaving my mouth. Weak even. But I meant every single one. I was tired. Tired of fighting. Tired of secrets. Tired of ancient prophecies deciding what my life should become.

I’m not surprised to hear those words. I’m just tired of it already.

It is too much for me. I cry out, and everything goes black.

With my company. With everything. Finally, I’m free.
