He Came Back Delusional

He Came Back Delusional

My ex, Jason Buckley—the guy I dumped five years ago—still sent tiny cash transfers to check if I existed. I never responded. This time, I tapped accept by accident. A second later, he lost it. "Wow, quick reflexes. What guy's been keeping you busy these past five years? Made you this cheap? Knew you couldn't get over me. "You took my 'let's fix this' gift, so we're signing marriage papers tomorrow. "My new dad's loaded—the richest in Seavora—and he can't wait to see me married." I just stared at the one-dollar payment on my screen and left him on read. The next day, he showed up at my place in Seavora City with his mom, parked right in the doorway. "This is gonna be our house, right? If you're not just after my family's money, transfer it into my name first." Yeah. He'd officially lost it. We broke up five years ago. My son's three. And if he's the heir to the richest man... what does that make my husband?

Cordelia finally let go and dialed the number she thought she’d never call.“I’ll go through with the arranged marriage.” Then Cordelia returned to the research institute and stunned everyone with her brilliance. And just as the most untouchable man in Kingsford slipped a ring onto her finger, the husband who had supposedly been dead for five years suddenly came back to life and stuck to her like gum on a shoe. "Delia, I was wrong. Please forgive me, just this once." Her daughter also clung to her leg, sobbing so hard she could barely breathe. "Mommy, don’t go!" This time, Cordelia could not even be bothered to look at them. Behind her, the man slid an arm around her waist, his voice low, lazy, and unmistakably possessive. Out of His Reach

Out of His Reach

Five years after our breakup, I saw my ex-fiancé, Nico Luciano, showing off his newborn on social media. The next day, he cornered me at a private club and slid a black card across the table. “Lena, Sophia finally had a boy, the heir to the Luciano family. Now I can marry you.” He tried to soften his tone. “Having been widowed to my late brother for five years, she just wanted a child to care for her. I had no choice after the first two were girls. “Thank you for waiting these extra two years. The wedding is set for next Monday, and the invitations are ready.” What he didn’t know was that I was already married. I am now the lawful wife of Vincent Moretti, the don of the North Alumcian Mafia Commission, and a core decision-maker of the Moretti family’s financial empire. Watching Nico’s confident smile, I sent a message to my underboss. “Notify the elders of the five major mafia families. Next Monday, I’m removing the Luciano family from power.” Then I looked up and smiled at him. “Marry me? Save your own career first.”

I've read 40% of the book and I feel the title is a bit misleading. The FL isn't interested in revenge, she's just living her life. I actually find Derek's story more interesting. Although he still acted like an ass and became super dumb around his ex. But a lot of men are like that, what can I say?

I just started reading this about a week ago and I've never been more engrossed in a novel or book before. it's a slow burn with the romance and isn't revolved around it, the story is great, the emotional roller-coaster it takes you on is intense, and over all it's just a good read so far.

She Weaponized Our Baby

She Weaponized Our Baby

At dinner, my wife's little brother Darren shot me a nasty look. "Other guys hook their wife's brother up with houses and cars. Mine won't shut up about covering a lousy twenty grand. "Wade Watson, transfer your house to me today, or I swear, I'll make my sister divorce you." My hand stalled mid-serve as I placed food on my pregnant wife's plate. That house was all my parents left me. Best school district in the city. Worth over three hundred grand. I looked at Vanessa, waiting for her to back me up. For the baby. She slammed an abortion appointment slip onto the table. "It's because I married a useless guy like you that my brother still isn't married. Wade, you get one choice—the baby or the house."
