“Is that it? You don’t feel any emotion towards the characters? Their struggles, the conflict—“ “That doesn’t seem like a conflict at all. It could be solved if the female agreed to be turned because that’s what vampires do. The author just dragged the conflict just so Twilight can be called a series.” Elaine was speechless. She did not dare utter any single word. “If I were Edgar—” “Edward.” I sighed. “If I were Edward, would you allow me to turn you into a blood-draining creature of the dark?” “Hell yeah!” Elaine beamed. “They are immortal and cool and—” “They are not cool,” I declared. “And they are not immortal. You just have to plunge a silver knife in their heart and cut off their head

New York Times columnist Ross Douthat wrote recently: "We are beasts with self-consciousness, predators with ethics, mortal creatures who yearn for immortality." Exactly. Maybe that's why vampires aren't really a fad. Because — except for that all-but-immortal thing — they really are us. Margot Adler's Vampire Book List 1-4. The Twilight Saga BY STEPHENIE MEYER The four books — Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn — have sold millions around the world. I confess I enjoyed them all. Not everyone likes these "sparkling vampires," but they definitely fit into my reluctant-vampire thesis. The Cullen family is lovely, including the doctor, his wife, the handsome Edward, two other kids an

Quickly, I turned around in the direction of the noise but just as I was about to rush outside, a big brown hairy wolf rushed into the room. I didn’t need to look at it twice to know that it was Dawn and from how crazed her eyes were, I deduced that her wolf had smelt the pungent rotten-flesh like smell associated with these vampires, and because she wasn’t used to how our world worked, her wolf had immediately gone into attack mode after sensing the presence of another predator.

The blood-sucking creatures whooshed towards them and Zayn didn't bother to unleash his aura because when he arrived, he didn't feel them as wolves and immediately concluded they were their counterparts. Kimberly unleashed flames from her system at the vampires, scaring them to stagger back quickly and Zayn kicked down the one who managed to go through. Amanda did not care about what was happening around her as she fixed her gaze on the black hole and watched Ajax vanish inside. "You forget easily what I'm capable of" She stretched her hands in the direction and mumbled spells while taking steps forward. Zayn saw this and immediately pulled forward and flipped the vampire that tried to get t

Before she knew it he was right there beside her as she felt a gush of wind. "I do." he whispered in her ears "But a vampire can have as many wives as he wants" "It is not the same for a werewolf." Nina returned back to him sharply "My mate cannot have another wife." Damon stared at her quietly for a while then he suddenly flashed a smile at her. "Watch your little mouth,Luna." his eyes turned red "I can rip your throat out any second. So go on...choose a dress." Nina didn't like any of them.

The people at the inn will notice that something is wrong. I understood what it meant when I saw Ryson drinking blood from that maid. Feeding on humans. On weak people. I had read too many books, watched too many movies, heard too many stories about myths and legends, liked fiction very much. Where humans and vampires didn't get along. Most stories ended in romance, hate, war and death. I wondered how my story will be like seeing that my life is now twisted with these creatures. Vampires. Just saying the name creeps me out. Chills running up and down my spine like waves on the sea.

, he asked her, folding his arms as soon as the nurse left. "I wasn't trying to kill myself. Someone mind controlled me and made me do it", she explained to Aaron. "What? How is that possible?" he asked, trying to believe her. "Her name is Savannah, she's a vampire and she's been stalking me and causing my life to be hell". "Elle, vampires cannot control other vampires' minds. That can only work with humans", he protested and she shook her head. "You're wrong Aaron, they can. I experienced it in Tithen", she disputed, looking away from his eyes. Xander had entered her mind and that caused instant guilt.

Feeling amazed that the Alpha will read something like this, especially knowing that most wolves hate vampires for its history. As Brianna began to slowly crouch and check more, finding other books that are similar to Twilight, like vampire club, vampire moon, and other things, suddenly Brianna felt a sudden wind behind her. ‘A wind?’ she muttered, automatically turning around to find no source as the room had no window. There’s just an old bookcase with a creepy vibe behind her.

I screamed, I groaned, I wept. Sydney slumped on the ground as tears rolled down her cheeks "Please stop.... Please stop, you are hurting him". Drakas grinned "Ohhh I've heard a lot about you Sydney the vampire princess but I can't help but wonder why out of all the supernatural males in this universe.....out of all the werewolves....out of all the Alphas, you had to pick this Monster" and he kicked me on my stomach. Hunter groaned and struggled to stand up "Stop it Drakas".

Moana * While I was on the way home, I mind-linked Derik, asking about the update on the council in my absence. ‘As for everyone’s safety, Yes, everything is all right, but all of a sudden, two new female vampires landed here. The surprising thing is that Elder Alaric didn’t consult Alpha Ambrose before inviting them inside. Not just that he didn’t care to inform me about it.’ ‘How can he disrespect Dad just like that?' I growled through the link. ‘Never did even Theodore disrespect him.’
