I must end it soon. Sara prepared multiple spells as she advanced forward. Her slashes were imbued in white light of the Holy element. She figured out that Midnight’s suit was made from black slime, a creature that had a high concentration of dark magic. Aside from that, Sara also casted ice and lightning elemental spells to deal additional damage and throw Midnight off. Midnight was supporting himself with similar elemental spells that countered some of Sara’s attacks. The swords in his hands were parrying Sara’s sword, but despite having an extra sword, Midnight was still getting sliced up.

Beneath her palms, her belly glowed faintly — two lights pulsing in rhythm with her heartbeat. The twins. “Where… am I?” she whispered. Her voice echoed, soft yet powerful, as though the entire realm was listening. A voice answered, deep and melodic. “Between worlds, Luna of the Rejected.” Elena spun around. A woman stood behind her — tall, ageless, her hair silver as moonlight, her eyes glowing like twin orbs of the full moon. She wore flowing robes that shimmered like mist, and around her neck hung a pendant shaped like intertwined wolves.

The witch seemed to have the ability to see right through someone down to their darkest secrets. Standing in front of the witches it was hard to believe they were related. Ursula was clean cut with sharp edges and a clinical air about her despite the energy that hummed under her skin. Dagmar on the other hand was gnarled and weathered like a giant redwood and equally imposing. Chloe couldn't help but wonder if the witch had been similar to Ursula in her younger days and it was simply time that had left Dagmar as cynical as she was wise. Or perhaps Dagmar had always been like this…

I didn't have to be a victim, I could be a powerful Luna, just like Nadia said. I took a deep breath, feeling a surge of determination. I would no longer be weak, I would no longer be a damsel in distress. Throw him in the basement!” I stared blankly at the ruined bracelet, my face emotionless as they dragged me away. The basement was dark and damp, and it only had one door leading out. A pair of bodyguards stood watch beside it, making escape impossible. Above me, a flickering fluorescent light cast harsh shadows across the cramped space. My only regret was never setting up any cell signal down here. I could not reach the outside world at all.

One of the pack advisors came and picked up the lots that had been blown by the wind towards each of the triplets. “All right, I will read the talents of the triplets, the children of Alpha Meazus and Luna.” The pack advisor opened Dona's lottery ticket first. “Dona... Does not yet have a talent...” The woman did not care at all about the talents discussed by the people in this place; she was only interested in the beauty of the Twilight Pack, which was like being in a fairy tale land. Deanna chuckled. “Dona must come here again when she turns twelve. Who knows, maybe the Moon Goddess will give her a talent.”
