Edward He advanced towards me, casting a shadow over my trembling form, his eyes filled with a sinister gleam. "Oh, Edward," he murmured, almost mockingly. "This was never a battle I intended to win. Consider this a cautionary tale." Without warning, he pivoted and strode away, the sound of his heavy footsteps reverberating through the desolate hall. I attempted to pursue him, but my body rebelled, causing me to falter and grasp my side where his razor-sharp claws had pierced through. Ezrand crowed, “we have our first contender. And who else would like to take to the ring?” There was a beat of silence, and then Edward called out, “I would.” When I’d first been introduced to Edward, I’d expected him to be a Robert Pattinson look-alike. Like Rowan, my knowledge of vampires had been limited to film and literature, and Twilight had been fresh in my mind around that time. I’d finally caved and read it, and, though I wouldn’t admit it to anyone now – no real vampire could respect anyone who sparkled, especially if they didn’t make the most of it and rock it as body glitter – I’d spent too many late nights re-reading the scenes between Bella and Edward.

The night club has all ten televisions tuned into the New Years Eve Party in New York. As Jason and I sit at the table with the others, I turn to Shel and Sasha to ask them a very serious question. I let out a cold laugh and casually gestured toward the bed. “And what about those? Were those your ideas too?” Rosie’s face went pale, then turned red with anger. “Evan, I really didn’t know about this! “I’ve been running myself ragged for the company. I gave Tyler a key, but I didn’t pay attention to what he was doing. “If you’re not okay with this, I’ll have him move out right now!” “No need.” I noticed the bright red love bite on the back of her neck and cut her off sharply.

All of it told Sarah that the piece of human leg she was seeing wasn't fake. Sarah gasped for air, the flashlight slid off from her fingers. She falls back, gasping and wheezing as she stumbles backward, her widening eyes staring directly to the leg that became more visible because of the flashlight harboring it. Only then did she manage to let out a scream.

I put my head on her lap. « About crush, I saw you blushing when we wanted to depart, what is it between you two ? » she asked. I stand up immediately. « It’s nothing. I didn’t blush. He is the mighty prince, I can’t see him that way. » « To me, it seems otherwise, it’s like, lately, you were immersed in your thoughts like you had to be cautious about something. » « Well, it’s not like I don’t want to say but Edward has a special ability that lets him read other minds as long as he wants. »
