My focus remained entirely on the tall figure standing on the terrace above. Alexander Blackwood's face was blurred in the dimming light. His features, once so familiar to me, now seemed distant—a landscape I could no longer navigate with certainty. I forced myself to smile, though I knew he couldn't see it. The icy spears pierced through my sister and me, blood spurted from our wounds, and we nearly passed out from the pain. Just then, an elder from the Celestial Realm intervened. "God of Water!
