We were riding through the city on our beasts. Isabella and I were on Twilight while Jason was riding a monstrous wolf. When I asked him why he chose a wolf instead of a drake he told me that even when drakes were commonly stronger beasts, wolves are more practical beasts for hunting since you can train them better. He also said that his grey companion was more loyal than any other human he had met. With this, my image of him being a man obsessed with hunting just got reinforced once more.

I focus a bit more and notice that one of the wolves is Sylas; he has to be fighting Laslo. Sylas is a huge gray wolf, bigger than Laslo’s white wolf. Laslo’s wolf is swiping at Sylas, and his claws connect here and there. Sylas twists his body and kicks Laslo’s wolf, sending it flying into a tree. Laslo’s wolf lays at the base of the tree, sprawled out. Sylas marches to the tree base and hovers over Laslo’s wolf, snarling and biting. His jaw reaches over and grabs at the white wolf’s neck.

The wind felt refreshing across Twilight's snow-white fur as she ran along the pack's board line, occasionally stopping to walk instead. “You know, you are allowed to celebrate your birthday, right?” She heard Tis say. Tis was her sweet, lovable wolf but like any rose, she had her thorns. This was one of the things that made Tis and Twilight so similar. “Where are you going this?” Twilight asked. “I’m just saying that birthdays are super important and special, you know, because they mean you're a whole year closer to finding your mate. Just thinking about it makes me wanna jump around and annoy you to no end.”

Tears burned in Twilight’s eyes, but she lowered her gaze, unwilling to let him see her cry. “This won’t work,” she shook her head lightly. “I never thought I'd be given a mate. I don’t even know much about the werewolf world, but they are cruel.” Eric’s sharp gaze softened. Twilight inhaled deeply, staring at the floor as she spoke. “We are exiled wolves… rogues, forced to hide among humans. Entering any pack means death. I’ve been an outcast since the day I was born—banished alongside my parents for something that wasn’t even their fault.”

Dawn swiftly tackled a wolf, gripping its throat and spinning it until a bone snapped; she then tossed the wolf towards a tree. A different wolf pounced on Dawn's back, prompting Aurora to twist sideways. When the wolf landed on the ground, they both stood up, ran towards each other, and leaped into the air. Dawn then clawed at the wolf's face with her right paw. Dawn overpowered the wolf, bringing it down and delivering a fatal blow to its chest, resulting in its immediate death with blood and guts spilling out. Turning toward the black and white wolf, Dawn saw it dismembering the brown wolf. Dawn decided to approach the wolf but paused a few feet away. The black and white wolf caught sight

"What's that?" "What's what? Oh, the wolf?"

Moon said. "Moon, you realize my Wolf is a dark wolf, or Nightmare wolf, right? I can barely control him as it is, you want me to just talk with him, bond with him, and hope he reveals his name, making it easy on me? My Wolf is just as pissed off at me as every other wolf that has a human now. Just because my Wolf and I work together from time to time doesn't mean it's going to work out this time." Rex snorted.

My wolf ! Noooooo !

Then he came padding over to her, leaving Lucia’s wolf behind on the shore. “Hello,” the black wolf said, bowing down onto his front legs. “I am Torrent. I am Storm’s wolf.” Storm’s wolf? Of course! That made perfect sense. Well, sort of. I did explain why there was an unfamiliar wolf on the island, and why both Zara and I felt some sort of familiarity. I’d never seen Storm’s wolf before, so it also explained why I didn’t recognize him. “I am Zara,” she said. “You are Eden’s wolf,” Torrent said. Zara nodded. “You are very beautiful. I’ve never seen a white wolf before.”

I saw the way she watched the wolf. Her own wolf was drawn to him, her twin’s aura surged as she watched my youngest son’s wolf take its first form. The small smirk she wore had my blood run cold, she waved off my worries with an eye roll. Tartarus was a huge black wolf with a gold crescent moon on his forehead and gold eyes. Orion thought I was worrying too much that he was born to rule that army for his brother. Orion touches my hand pulling me from my inner thoughts of our son and his wolf. He has a slight frown on his face, so I offer him a small smile.
