Chain My Heart Too, Gamma
It’s overwhelming for a second, but then I hear someone yelling my name.
Or well, yelling my title.
“Gamma Kael! Look who finally crawled out of Moonshard!”
Cliff Ron, the owner of this place, squeezes past a group of drunk mercenaries. He’s tall, scar across his cheek, hair tied back like he’s in the middle of a fight he hasn’t finished. He grins at me before pulling me into a rough hug, the kind that almost knocks the air out of me. I grunt because the hug brushes the injured side of my body, and even though I try not to show it, the pain shoots so sharply I have to hold myself steady. Cliff doesn’t notice. Or maybe he pretends not to. Hard to tell with him.
