Ria lay down on her bed and tried to sleep. The clock showed it was almost dawn but her eyes still couldn't close. She was still awake with the scene replaying in her head. Why was she silent when a man was touching her?! Not only was it the opposite sex, but that man wasn't human either! He's a ghost!. Ria rolled over and hugged her face with a pillow. She couldn't help but blush and blush. Gosh what was that? **

His eyes lingered on the empty space across the room, as if expecting someone to fill it. Two souls, awake in the dark. Both haunted. Both scarred. Both carrying shadows they didn’t yet understand. And neither knew how deeply their ghosts were already intertwined. ______________

Not anymore. Not this time. The ghost was coming. And nothing would stop her. Nothing.

The bandages on his side shifted as he tried to move. My chest was still tight from swallowing the note, narrowed my eyes. “Good. I’m tired of watching you drool in your sleep.” He growled. Don’t test me, ragazza, You’re still mine.” “I’d rather belong to the plague.” “Too late.” The door burst open. Two guards rushed in. Ghost entered, gun visible under his coat. “Unhook me,” He ordered. “Boss” “Now.” Ghost moved quickly, eyes locked on me like I was the problem.

The word fell heavy. “You cannot keep it,” the ghost continued. “Not with what you are becoming, not with the Void listening.” Lyra’s shoulders shook. “She stays,” I said. “We leave together.” The ghost shook her head. “Only one of those things is possible.” I felt Lyra’s panic surge through the bond, sharp and suffocating. “She’s my mate,” I snarled. “My Queen.” “And my daughter,” the ghost replied softly. “Before she was anything else.”

“Then why does it feel like you’re chasing a ghost?” Her perfume filled the air, cloying, suffocating. I pulled my hand away, jaw tightening. “Because ghosts don’t get to rise from the grave and parade around as if they’re untouchable.” My voice sharpened, venom dripping with every word. “She should have stayed buried. But now…” I leaned forward, my reflection catching in the dark screen. My eyes were fever-bright, consumed. “Now, I’ll make sure she regrets ever stepping into the light.”

literal ghost music, echoing faintly through the air. “Rule number one of ghost dancing,” he said, sliding toward me dramatically, “you don’t walk. You glide. Glide like you are in zero gravity with swagger.” I laughed despite myself. “Swagger?” “Yeah. Ghost swagger. You have got to float like you own the damn afterlife. Now... hands up, shoulders loose.” I copied him, sort of. “Good,” he said, circling me. “Now imagine your feet are smoke. You don’t step... you drift. Like this.”

“You did that yourself.” Her laugh rips out, sharp and ugly, echoing across the concrete. “Don’t you dare put this on me.” Her hand shakes, just a little, but she steadies it with the other. She points the gun harder, like she wants to shove the barrel through me with sheer will. “He loved me. He chose me. And you—” Her mouth twists, her eyes glittering with something unstable. “You are a ghost.” The word slams into me like a fist. My throat burns, but I don’t look away. “Maybe,” I whisper. My voice is quiet, flat, but it carries. “But ghosts don’t die twice. And I’m still here.”

Ghost grunted, “tell me you don’t want me on my knees for you.” “I do,” I moaned, throwing my head back. “I want you, Ghost. Please touch me. Get on your knees for me.” As though my consent had set off something in his head, Ghost retrieved his fingers, his darkened orbs locked on mine as he slid the coated fingers into my parted lips. I breathed shakily, my lips enclosing around his fingers, my tongue twirling around the tips, dragging a moan out of Ghost’s throat. I released his fingers with pop and he immediately leaned down, his lips brushing against mine in a ghostly manner, shoulders tense and face tight with discomfort.

Hope today is a good day. At 8 am, the sound of the loudspeaker sounded a very familiar but strange song. Don't leave me alone. Don't leave me alone. It's so cold, it's so cold Why did you leave me alone? Feeling cold and numb, fear covered me again. Could that ghost follow her up to the company? Amanda looked around, everyone was almost full and it seemed like there wasn't anybody who could hear the song. They are still working normally. Amanda stood up, trying to find out where the music was coming from.
