When I turned back to face Julian, he seemed hesitant to close the door. We didn’t have time to waste. The longer he waited to close the door, the more likely we would be caught in this hallway. I reached out, grabbed the door handle, and closed myself into the closet. The door had slats in it, on a diagonal facing downwards. I was confident that I was fully hidden in the dark, but I could see outwards okay enough. Mostly, because of the downward slant to the slats, I saw Julian’s shirt and his legs and feet, but it was comforting that I could see even that much.

When I opened the old creaky door all I see are mops, brooms, cloths, soap, and other cleaning supplies. I'm in a fake maid's closet, made for these secret tunnels the King has. Very peculiar, opening the door in front of me and I'm greeted by stares from young girls in their nightclothes.

Right in front of the clothes was a huge mirror that expanded to cover an entire wall. I walked towards a corner of the room where the wall touched the mirror and pushed the mirror in lightly. It gave way and opened slightly. I pushed it a little more, since the space that I managed to create the first time did not seem to be enough for me to walk through. After creating a bigger entrance for myself, I shuffled my way in and immediately closed the door behind me. The secret door in the closet led to a stairwell that went underground. I picked up a lit lantern that was hanging on the wall and walked carefully down the stairs, trying to be extremely careful because of how steep the stairs were

I opened the walk-in closet. Mistake. The closet was almost as big as my first apartment after I left Sebastian, with a long island in the middle, dark wood shelving, soft lighting, rows of suits on one side, white and black shirts, leather shoes, watches, drawers, and in the section that should’ve been empty, there were already several pieces of women’s clothing. I walked closer. My size. T-shirts. Sleepwear. Leggings. Jeans. Underwear still sealed in packaging. Sweaters. Even a black silk robe.

Elina There are a lot of clothes in the closet to choose from and eventually I pick a pistachio green sundress with a tight bodice. The skirt falls softly from my waist down to an inch above my knees. I can’t find any underwear in the closet so I stick my head out the door to the bedroom. “Lazarus? After finding out the kitchen was empty, I went back to bed, but on my way, I found something intriguing. Ouch! I stubbed my toe! This damn closet... got in the... way.
