Utgard Castle Novels & Stories

(as he was known), built the castle many years ago as a fortress to protect the lands between Careath, the Imperial City, and Ver Nooy, the Holy City. Careath and Ver Nooy were the two largest cities within the midlands of the Menian Empire. The plain between them was vulnerable to sea attacks; thus, the castle was a necessary part of the landscape. It was not built for looks but for strength. It was built on the ruins of an older fortress of the clan Tared of which Yvayn was a blood member. When Myrmidon died, the castle was named in honor of him, as was once the region of Ethor, now known as Myrmidar.

he asked, his voice low and urgent. Grimbold got up and went to the window, looking out into the night. "It's Uncle Ryan's army," he said. "They're approaching our castle, my lord." Sigurd's face was set with determination. "Get the men ready," he said. "We'll prepare to defend our castle against Uncle Ryan's army." #### The night air was filled with the sound of clashing steel and the scent of smoke and sweat. Sigurd's army had been preparing for this battle for weeks, and they were determined to defend their castle against Uncle Ryan's army.

Blake said. “I didn’t know he had wings,” I said, a little to amazed at that fact. “There’s lots you don’t know yet but in due time young one I’ll tell you” Blake said smiling. “Go get Margaret and Derrick and meet us at the castle now. I raced off to the southern gate. Margaret and Derrick took the little cottage just off to the side as you walk through the gates side entrance for foot traffic. They wanted to be closer to the castle in case help was needed and because it’s a smaller distance for Derrick to cover if official business needed to be attended to while he was at home with his wife.

I’ve no idea what Carlotta did other than drink and fuck in it, but she’s lucky the place didn’t crumble around her damn ears. Someone has already been in to fix the fire damage caused by Dethlefsen and reinforce the stone. Safeguards have been added to the rear of the castle and I’ve roped in some experts as to how long they think it has before the sea starts eating the walls rather than the rock.

Alpha Khy’s POV – The journey to England was long, but not unfamiliar. I’d ridden through rain, shadow, and cursed wind, across the whispering borderlands of Wales until the craggy silhouette of Castle Durnholde greeted me like an old ghost. Ancient. Isolated. Full of secrets. This was no royal castle, no place for balls or coronations. No, Durnholde was a fortress of forgotten knowledge, buried deep into the cliffs overlooking the black waters of the North Sea. Magic clung to its stones like mist.

The picture was of our enemy's stronghold. Located in a remote region of Ukraine, Vladimir's castle sat miles away from the nearest town, hidden within sprawling forests that seemed to stretch endlessly in every direction. The only road leading to it was narrow, poorly maintained, and largely forgotten by modern maps. Stone walls rose from the landscape like a scar left behind by history itself, weathered by centuries of storms yet still standing defiantly against time. Massive iron gates guarded the entrance, while thick woods surrounded the property on all sides, creating a natural barrier that made approaching unseen nearly impossible. Even from the photographs, the place felt wrong, oppr

"The roots go deeper than the castle." Dunmarragh Keep emerged from the mist like a sleeping beast - its jagged battlements black against the storm-churned sky, the original Norman keep crouching low and brutal behind later Gothic additions. As we crossed the ancient stone bridge, something dark and sinuous seemed to move between the cracks in the masonry. I blinked, and it was gone. Mrs. Higgins stood waiting in the great hall like a relic from another century, her black bombazine dress whispering against the flagstones.

But now it was all finally coming together, and Caitlin felt for certain that this was the final stop. After hours of flying, the landscape finally changed, as they flew along the edge of the Scottish coast. And as they rounded a bend, a castle came into view, one that Caitlin knew could only be Dunnottar. The site took Caitlin’s breath away. She had never seen anything like it: it was the most remote and picturesque castle she had ever seen. Built on the very edge of a cliff which dropped hundreds of feet straight down to the ocean, the castle sat proudly at the edge of a small, green island, soaring high up in the air, partially in the clouds, as if reaching for heaven itself. The small is
