“Ye shouldn’t have to change for anyone, least of all me. Ye deserve someone who sees ye for who ye are and loves ye for it.” Her jaw tightened, but she nodded, her resolve unbroken. “Very well. But I’ll no’ give up so easily.” Far to the north, deep within the Sgàil Woods, Lachlan MacEacharn’s castle loomed like a shadow made flesh. The dense forest shrouded the land in perpetual twilight, the canopy of ancient trees blotting out the sun. A winding path of blackened stone led to the castle gates, flanked by twisted oaks that seemed to reach for unwelcome visitors.

It ascended to the level of the uppermost circle and was crowned with a battlement so that people in the castle could gaze down from its height sheer down on the Gate five hundred feet below as if they were mariners in a mountainous ship. The fortress's entrance likewise faced east, but it was carved into the rock; from there, a lengthy lamp-lit slope led up to the seventh gate. Men finally arrived at the upper court and the fountain in front of the Tower's foot: tall and shapely, fifty fathoms from base to pinnacle, where the Stewards' banner flew a thousand feet above the plain. “Never thought that this place will go to have a Court, Legolas,” Charlotte said while passing the number of peo

“Ye lads got more ‘crew?’ We’re gonna need security. And an advanced alarm system. I want this place sealed tighter than the crown jewels.” Callum grinned, slipping an arm around my waist. “Aye, lass. We’ve got more crew. And they’ll be glad tae move in.” Keiran kissed the side of my head. “This castle’s gonna be the safest bloody fortress in the country.” I smiled. “Good. Because this is home now. And I want all of us protected.” As if to prove my point, a set of French doors at the end of the hall opened to reveal a view of the inner courtyard. There were stone paths, lush gardens, and a huge central fountain pouring into the moat beyond. Yes. The actual moat.

However, Harvey did not mind since he was there to help Alexei get his revenge, not to show off. In no time, the two of them had passed through the 15-mile long paths and arrived at the end of the valley. Protected by steep cliffs from three directions, there was a medieval castle located here. The castle looked like a gigantic beast that seemed intent on devouring them all as it lay at the end of the valley. There was a clearing in front of the castle, where dozens of helicopters had been parked. Among them was even a military helicopter, but all its weapons had been removed.

"Some things in this life are just easier to know. Now while I would like to know Uriel's plans in full, there is a special guest waiting for us inside there. Don't worry, you'd love her." Denitra had a bad feeling after hearing her say that. The portcullis lifted and they walked into the castle. It was already taking shape quite well as the undead worked tirelessly. She was curious as to how she got such a large army of powerful undead magicians. They had only walked through the front door of the castle but they were already in a room.

Some while later we were seated around his oak dinning table in silence, cradling a cup in our palms. Lan broke the silence. He addressed Lev, "I want to know where we are and how far we are from Uglich." Lev's brows furrowed. "Uglich?" Then his eyes widened in realization and he leaned in to say conspirationally, "Ah, you are among the ones that want to see the castle, eh? Let me warn you, the tourists who go there never come out. Legend has it that--" Lan started to cut him off but I interjected, interest seeping into my voice, "Can you tell me more about this castle?"

Then, he looked at Yelena beside him and asked, “Yelena, do you know where’s Utarbergh?” “Of course. It’s a very famous town in Durandal. It’s more than 500 kilometers away from here.” James instructed Henry. “Then, we’ll head to the airport to get a flight to Utarbergh.” “Alright.” Henry turned on the navigation system and headed toward the airport. Yelena chirped curiously. “Hey, why are you going to Utarbergh?” “Don’t ask. Just follow us quietly, or we’ll send you back if you have any more complaints.”

I didn't understand it and it scared the shit out of me. The Crescent castle was located further away from town. It was heavily guarded by warriors who looked scarier than my father when he was angry at me and that's saying a lot. There was a wall about six feet tall around the castle with an entrance gate. In front of the gate was a path which led to a bridge which eventually led to town. The bridge was built because of the river that passed through Boulderstall to the sea.

Caitlin flew from St. Michael's Mount, holding the third key in her hand, the vampire’s final words still ringing in her head. She felt a sense of ominousness as she flew through the morning, through thick, black storm clouds, racing to find Violet. Aiden had told her about Violet’s castle—Bodium Castle—located in the far northern corner of England, and she raced towards it with all she had. Thunder erupted in the warm September sky, as she flew right into thick, black storm clouds. But she didn't slow. She had to get there, for all she was worth.

We arrived back to the castle in the early hours of the morning, honestly I thought it would go as smoothly as leaving the castle would be, but boy was I mistaken! We were supposed to leave the safe house this morning, but Gray got word that Rupert somehow learnt the location of the safe house, he blames his mother for showing up. So late last night after being literally dragged from bed and into a car, we arrived at the castle in the really early hours. Gray wasn't kidding when he told me they put an increase in the guard presents around the castle, they're down every corridor and office I even saw them in a crawl space when I was walking around! Lets just hope they don't get too overwhelmi
