Valentines Day Read Aloud Novels & Stories

Valentine's Day was supposed to be the day Adrian Weldon proposed. The night before, he texted me, saying he wanted to give me the proposal I deserved. [Summer, you and our baby deserve a real family.] I held my phone and grinned like an idiot forever. I even picked out a loose white dress to hide my five-month bump. I thought it would be the happiest day of my life. Instead, I got to the mountain and learned the truth. There was no proposal.

My cheeks burned red recollecting my last encounter with him, and I felt this warmth around my waist as if his hands were there again. Today is Valentine's Day. Beautiful red hearts with curly white ribbons decorating the ceiling greeted me along the hallway. Red ribbons with tiny, shiny plastic hearts adorn everyone's lockers, and a large poster along the wall promotes our Valentine's party for tonight. I went into my locker for my first session textbook before finding Connor, and like every Valentine's Day, I'm expecting my locker to be empty and without a gift. On this day, it was normal for one to find roses, chocolate, or any other Valentine's gift inside their locker from their secret

"What's a valentine? Why do I see people passing around flowers and sweets in some parts of the Kingdom?" "Hmmm, who are they giving those gifts to?" "I mostly see boys and men give their ladies these things and call them their valentine. Why valentine?! It feels like they're coming for me!!! They can't do that!!" His mother laughed at his adorable angry face. She tapped his nose and made the six year old prince sit on her lap. "Valentine's Day is a celebration of romantic love." "What's that??" the young prince asked wide eyed. "A sacred love shared between a couple. Like those men and women you had seen."

"He told me he had something special planned. I guess this was it, damn it." "Valentine's Day?" Max parroted. "Yeah, you know. Big day for lovers? Hearts and flowers? Candy? Wine? Maybe jewelry? Big romantic dinner? The works?" "Valentine's Day," Max said again, taking another swallow of beer. "You say that like it's a foreign concept," she snarked. "It happens every February fourteenth. Surely you've heard of it before. Sent flowers to your gaggle of females. Oh, wait. You probably have so many, you order an assistant do it. Someone at the team complex."

She feels less of a person since she has been sick and still weak. Charlie takes Logan out to dinner. She is surprised when he parks at the local Botanical Gardens. They walk hand in hand viewing all the beautiful flowers and trees. In the park is a wall of love. Couples put two locks interlocked on the fence. It is believed that if the locks are together the couple will be together also. Charlie whispered into Logans ear; I love you. That was a magical time for Logan. She knew then Charlie still loves her. She knew that every year they could return to see the locks of their love still together. This is how the future would be.

Ella rebuked her and immediately they both began to argue. "Serena, won't you say anything "? Linda called out to me but I pretended not to hear her. They are not dragging me into their childish argument. "Fine, you win, what's so special about February that you won't stop blabbing about it"? " Am also interested in knowing Linda". I finally joined the conversation. Waiting for Linda to explain the big month. "Well, ladies, February is the month in which we celebrate Valentine's, and the school always through a lavishing party for that".

The clock struck midnight, and the air buzzed with the soft, sweet scent of roses wafting through my open window. Valentine's Day. Lovers’ Day. A day meant for chocolates, kisses, and promises whispered in candlelight. A day that should’ve felt special—romantic, even. But instead, I was alone in my apartment, sitting on the edge of my bed, staring at the quiet screen of my phone.

January was so fast it was like it never even happened. Now it was February 14, the day of the lovers. After spending the entire day at work, William and Summer came back home. William had planned a valentine day surprise for his lover, their bedroom was covered with roses and candle lights lit up the room. Summer had just come back from work and she went straight to her room. On opening the door and seeing what William had done, she put her hand over her mouth and moved inside closely. William came out of the corner and hugged her from behind.

I snatched it up and quickly scanned the looping handwritten note. "Darling, as I'm sure you're well aware, today is Valentine's Day. While every single day is like Valentine's Day for me as long as I'm by your side, I wanted to do something extra special to celebrate our love and romance this year. So, I took the liberty of arranging a little surprise for you - an outfit I hand-picked myself, perfectly tailored to show off your gorgeous figure. I hope you'll humor me by wearing it for our evening together. All my love, Karl." I felt a wide, delighted smile stretching across my face as I hurriedly began ripping into the boxes, my heart fluttering with anticipation over what Karl could have p

"You could say that." "Valentine's Day is hell." He says it like a fact, not a suggestion. "Worst holiday ever invented. Just manufactured pressure to prove something that shouldn't need proving." "You're not romantic then." "I was once romantic." His smile was sad. "Then I learned that romance and love are different things. Romance is just performance. Love is simply showing up when it's not pretty." I opened the door wider. I don't know why. Maybe because he's the first person all night who hasn't looked at me with pity or guilt or expectation.
