Tall, broad-shouldered, black hair falling to his shoulders, skin like marble. His eyes were blood-red and ancient. Lord Lucian Voss. Even I had heard the name whispered in fear. One of the oldest vampires on the continent. Ruthless. Untouchable. No one bid against him. The gavel slammed down. “Sold.” Two vampire guards grabbed my arms and dragged me off the stage. I didn’t fight. What was the point? I was already dead.
