I look up into his eyes and straighten my back. “Yes, I need to stay,” I answer, then he leans down and kisses my lips. “I hope you won’t reject the mate bond after you see this side of me,” he whispers before walking back to Konstantin and Ilya. “Start from the beginning, unless you want to end up like Viktor,” Kai says in his Alpha voice, pulling out the knife at his holster.
