I roll my eyes and run a hand through my newly chopped hair, still adjusting to the foreign feeling of the strands barely reaching my chin, the sharp edges of my bangs brushing my eyebrows. It feels... wrong. Like my face is exposed in ways it shouldn't be.
"It's edgy," Veronica offers, sifting through her racks of dresses with an expert's hand. "Like a French film noir heroine. Or a depressed rockstar's ex-girlfriend."
