I step on the brakes and the tires screech loudly at the effect, jolting Clara from her sleep. "What the hell?" She cursed. I didn't mind her, I just looked at the signboard at the front of the warehouse. It's a multipurpose warehouse, i switched off the truck's engine and surveyed the area with my eyes. By now, Austin has briefed Clara on what's happening and by the look of things, she's way better than when we started the journey. Her temperature is back to normal and I think she's gonna make it. The only thing left is the weakness she's still feeling.

Xavier and Ceres sit across from each other, the scroll between them. Xavier (carefully breaking the wax seal): "Feels wrong to open it. Like I'm cracking open someone's grave." Ceres (gently): "Then treat it like an exhumation. Not to desecrate—just to bring the truth into the light." He unrolls the scroll—fine parchment, preserved miraculously—names upon names inked in blood-dark script. Xavier (reading softly): "Narel Flame-Eyed. Caelum Ashwing. Idris of the Second Vein. Eyla Moonvein. Alric Flameborn..."

Xara took out a black card form her storage pack and tossed it to Xasha, "good idea, just, don't push yourself too hard," Xara knew that once Xasha got into studying something he was interested in he would forgo food and sleep until he learned everything he could about it. "Don't worry mom, I'll take my time." Xara headed back to the enchantment department, there were two young ladies In similar white coats who came out to greet her. Xasha went to the house and into his room. While he was excited, he was also worn out from the events in the Black Plains.
