The Dragon King's Chosen Bride

The Dragon King's Chosen Bride

"That is true. Right now, the people are blinded by rage. Their perspective is that a Witch had killed a beloved Village Head." "How can you support this?" A man flew up to his feet. "This is wrong. He was abusing his daughter! Where is Justice?" "I agree it is sad and justice should be served." Head Zeppus shrugged. "Really, really sad." He sighed. "Honestly, the whole situation pains my heart. But think about this, what if we tell the truth and the King starts interrogating us to see if we are worthy Village Heads? Do you want us to be the one standing trail next to the witches?"

Tale As Old As Time

Tale As Old As Time

It was the demon's brides. When he had been young, the village chief, together with other well-bodied men, would grab the bodies and place them in proper burial places. Now that he was older, it seemed like they had just grown tired. Now, as Fyn stood straighter, he followed the line of the river until he reached the end.

The Demon

The Demon

“Have some compassion, I beg you! Don’t make my children into orphans!” Ijumped off my horse, threw Tom the reins, and pulled the man from the ground by his collar. “Shut your mouth.” “Ma-a-aster...” Judging by the horror on his face, the nobles had been terrorizing that place. What were they doing? Killing half the village and raping the other? “Do you know if I could buy some milk around here?” It took a few minutes for the villager to grasp my words, after which he started to nod aggressively.

Leading My Family to Glory

Next, he used his hand to straighten his head a few times before he finally got it right. “How is it, Master? Does that village happen to be Springwell Village?” “Are Juan Yates and others hiding there?” One of the shamans asked at once. That shaman looked exasperated and cursed, “Damn it! I have practiced this Tame Head Spell for my entire life, and I thought it should be able to work out today, but I never expect to be made fun of by a few children. Those brats. Before I was able to fly into the village, I was knocked down by those little kids with stones.”

Love all the characters especially ML and FL. True love bonding. Tyr never sets his eyes on other women tho surrounded by them n possesses s/natural powers. Unlike some amazingSIL stories abandoned the wife for hundreds of chaps, he always keeps in touch wt his wife. Lots to learn from this story.

Alacrimia

Alacrimia

He touched a polkadotted, short stick to her head and jumped back, chanting incantations. 'Èèwọ̀! Abomination!' he shouted. 'What? What is it?' an annoyed baale tsked. The man was getting tired of sitting down there and watching them do the unnecessary, but he couldn't fully interfere in the decisions of the elders. His power didn't cover that. True he was the head of the village, but matters that didn't have to do with running the government of public policies and affairs were beyond his pale. 'This child is not only possessed but also an initiate in a dark circle.'

Wonderfully written! The pace is so smooth✨ I absolutely loved the way the author described the scenes. The grammar is on point. I couldn't find a single typo either! Highly recommended!! Keep up the good work! ❤

This is one of the best Nigerian books I've come across after Chinua Achebe's and Chimamanda Adichie's. This work is a beautiful criss-cross between the contemporary world and the traditional world, and a book brimming with life, thanks to Eniiyi's fighting spirit. You don't want to miss this.

Cursed by the Gods: Cleopoda CBTG Book 1

Cursed by the Gods: Cleopoda CBTG Book 1

10 months ago Eyrotia King Barigo of Eyrotia stood a head taller than the whole village. His shiny bald head gleamed under the hot sun that was common to the Northern parts of the world. The ritual of purification for his now pregnant wife was underway and the villagers in their cloth of animal fur and tanned leather danced around the village seer who stood in the middle of the square with a gourd of fire in one hand and staff on the other.

"Go... continue your... I mean your friend's story." I sighed and I continue the story. "When she woke up and realize everything that happened, she decided to forget everything and just continue with her plans. She will just quietly solve her stupid mistakes when the time comes. But then she met the guy again and that guy keeps on calling her wife and acting like a real husband." "Well, technically he is the real husband of your friend." Mara butted in. "Yes. But it only happen because my friend is drunk and she is not in her right mind to make a decision."

Born To Fight

Wilson shook his head as he thought back to the story behind this war. Their home was actually a small village when compared to the other places they had heard of, but it was way more abundant. They literally had everything they would need to live a fulfilled life. So much that they never had to enter into trade with any village or kingdom. Then, one fateful day, their chief broke an ancient law that had been passed down for generations and married a foreigner that had strayed into their village and that was when things became rough. His advisors and elders did their best to make him see reason why he should not take such massive risks but their beloved chief was already blinded by love.

Heiress of Horror

Heiress of Horror

Octopus Head had cut off one of his own tentacles, handing it toward us with its other tentacles. "Apology. Eat." The still-writhing, bloodied tentacle made Anna and the others retch instantly. At that moment, the village chief took out a handbook bound in human skin, with the words Villager's Code of Conduct written in blood. He smiled, revealing a mouth full of sharp teeth. "Once you've eaten your fill, you can learn about the rules in our humble village."
